Sunday Stash #261 – Long Distance Shopping Cont. Cont.
Would you believe – yeah, probably – that there’s fabric in my stash that I haven’t shown you? Last weekend after my dutiful fiancee read Sunday Stash, he posited, “Surely, you have other fabrics hidden away in that giant wardrobe that you haven’t shown the world for Sunday Stash!” To which I coyly responded, “Who? Me? Never.” Meanwhile, I may have been crossing my fingers while they were wrapped around my martini glass. Yeah, but here’s the thing, I was pretty sure I didn’t. Like, almost definitely 85% sure I didn’t. There’s alway that pesky 15%, isn’t there?
So turns out, I did have more fabric that I haven’t shown off! Hey world, look at my bits! Not those: these! Consider this part three of Long Distance Shopping and Long Distance Shopping Continued where I showcased the magic that is shopping through iMessage. You know, where a friend who’s in another country, stumbles into a fabric shop, texts pictures of fabric to you until you scream, bite your fist, and see how many times she’ll let you say, “One yard, please!” I have such good friends; I’ve trained them well.
These are all my novelty fabric selections: flamingos, parrots, toucans, echidnas, and clouds. I’m not exactly sure what echidnas are doing in Scandinavia, but meh, they’re totes adorbs. I know that flamingo fabric is one over-sized pocket away from being a Hawaiian shirt, but I dig how abstract and tone-on-tone it is. Once it’s cut up it will be more about the colour and shape than the actual aviary scene going on. I’m sure the fabric stash has been completely put on display now, until next weekend when I will invariably find some undiscovered piece of divine to show you! 15% indeed.
I used flamingo for a summer purse for 13 yr old granddaughter. She loves it!!!
Yippee! Sunday! I can’t get enough! Tak til min ven.
