So about last night.
Okay, y’all! I didn’t get around to posting mid-week like I wanted. However, that was in large part to me travelling in Singapore all week and being tooty-fruity in the day job. That being said, I did manage to scoot off for a few impromptu hours to do some fabric shopping. Really, moi? Can you even believe it?! I’m sure I’ll grace you with their presence in an upcoming Sunday Stash. Oh, and there was champagne. Again, is your weave shooked and shocked straight? I didn’t think so either!
Another random thing, but I have to show you this picture of Mr. Sparkles and me. It’s from a few weeks ago during Sydney Mardi Gras (our LGBTQIA pride celebration). We are both rocking the glitter-rific eyebrows with coordinating silver and gold lame jackets. I feel like we are one step away from being honorary members of Jem and the Holograms! (Not a bad thing!) Due to the hullabaloo of the past six months, celebrating from the sidelines was a far better experience than us trying to do choreographed dance moves down Oxford Street. Next year baby, next year!
Finally, look out New Zealand, because here I come! That’s right, I’m making my first appearance in New Zealand next Saturday, 23 March. I’ll be spending a few hours of the afternoon, 1-4pm, at Busy Bee Quilt Shop in Wellington. I’ll be hanging with my brand new besties, sharing some sparkling advice, and maybe a few of my tried and true shopping tips! So if you need a bit of sparkle in your life–and you’re somewhat local–come say hello!
“But why, Molli, why!? Why no where else?” I can hear you screaming in deafening agony. Gurl. I know. It hurts like a motherfucker. But you see, it’s all about me and Mr. Sparkles this time. We are cruising around New Zealand on the Cunard Queen Elizabeth for two weeks. We happen to have a little stop in Wellington, and the lovely Wendy Hatley made it all happen. Sparklelations to her and Busy Bee Quilt Shop for having me! I’ll make sure I tell you all about it as soon as I get back! Toodles!
Be still my freakin’ heart! You are both too cute for words! You’ve made my day with your post! Look out New Zealand!
Love,
-Jean <3
OMG. I just read, and am praying for those affected by the horror in New Zealand on the day before.
Have a wonderful cruise, sounds fabulous! I am booked on a Papeete to San Francisco trip for 2020 and am looking to explore places new to me, plus doing some stitching during sea days. @susansquiltstudio
Great outfits. You and Mr Sparkles live up to your name. Trust you to find the chance to shine in a quilt shop in the midst of a 14 day cruise. Enjoy your time together cuz it sounds like life is pretty busy.
