The Honey Pot Bee: Mushroom Giveaway

Oh hello there you sexy thangs! It’s July, which means we need to drop it like it’s hot. And by “drop,” I mean a five day bonus block challenge, y’all! That’s right — you’ve got five days to piece together a magic mushroom from the Stitching Notes paper piecing pattern. Once you’ve made at least one, leave a comment on this post for a chance to win a bit of fabric from my stash. The winner will be announced as part of The Honey Pot Bee’s August launch post. The winner will need to send me a photo of their block to confirm they worked their magic. Of course, feel free to throw your photos up on Instagram using the hashtags below!

A lot of you have already made this block, so you’ll be sitting pretty with an entry as soon as you leave a comment! I made two of them from scraps today, and they took no time at all. I might change that bottom border to green in order to ground them a bit, but otherwise they were easy and forgiving. These will surely fit the lighthearted tone of The Honey Pot Bee quilt so far!

P.s. Thank you to Jess for suggesting it back in May!

  1. Hello Mollie, I had some problems printing out the pattern to the correct size, too small by far, and when I enlarged it the b1 didn’t fit on the page. Is there a proper way to save and print please?

Love the mushrooms! Right now I am enjoying Paris, heading down to Limoges for a week at Crafty Retreats with Deb O’Hare from Wales on Friday, so will not be doing any machine stitching this week. I will make one of these blocks for my HoneyPot bee top when I get back to CA in August. @susansquiltstudio
