Sunday Stash #48 – Magic Suitcase V2.0 Part 05 – Oh Deer! I’m in Japan!

Once Molli Sparkles goes global, there ain’t no stoppin’ this bitch! I know it’s only been a sweet lil’ while since I left, but I thought it was time to come back to Japan! Yes, lovelies, I am here! Can you even believe we fit a whole #MSBHQAL in between these trips? Me either! So I’ll be posting from around Japan all week, starting this Sunday Stash off from Osaka.
In honour of my return, this week I decided to feature some Japanese inspired fabrics from the Magic Suitcase. All four of these are half yard cuts to add to my pre-existing Oh! Deer collection. I love MoMo’s bright use of colour, and high contrast while still maintaining a whimsical nature. Whimsy often drifts into pastel land, but I prefer the Wonderland aesthetic of bold, dramatic, and saturated.

And for all you knitting aficionados out there: check this guy out! Seriously, forget the infinity scarves (no seriously, forget the infinity scarves) and wrap this guy around your neck! That’s how you make a statement!

I’ve only been here for about 12 hours, but Osaka is a gorgeous city! It looks like a solid grey jumble from my 17th floor room in the St. Regis but once you get amongst it, it is full of vitality, clear umbrellas, and sparkling lights aplenty. Oh honey, and don’t even get me started on the pastries I ate today. Forget the last donut, let’s talk about the last caramel custard cream puff you ever need to lay your eyes on! Deee-lish!

Even though there may be some crazy shit happening in the world, don’t forget to smile!

Now for those of who have made it to the end, y’all know how I like to make a statement (with an exclamation mark, hello)! In September, I celebrated my one year blogiversary by surprising all of you with a virtual trip to Japan. Well, another blog milestone is coming up this week while I am in Japan (convenient, no?), and there’s going to be quite a big prize attached to it. So do come back, and all will be revealed soon!

Linking up with Fiona at Finding Fifth for this week’s Sunday Stash-a-thon!

You should do the same.
Mmm. Custard.
