Sunday Stash #292 – Drowning
Are you drowning in fabric? Me too! Isn’t it the best? No life preservers needed around here, y’all! I’m gonna do the breast stroke through all of these fabulous stacks of latest fabrics hitting my shores. There’s an influx of Tula making waves in my cupboard of love, and these two photos are only the beginning. It’s an embarrassment of riches, really, but I’ve been embarrassing myself for a lifetime already. So what’s a lil more?!
Remember, at the beginning of the pandemic, when us quilters were single-handedly saving the world with our mask-making efforts? Well, I used up a large chunk of my Tula collection on the hundred or so masks I made. I couldn’t help but use all of my bats and eyes fabric as an ironic statement. Well, my Instagram friend, Ms. Rowe recently reached out to offer up some of her Tula stash to help replenish mine! Um, excuse me, yes. A big digital thank you for her kindness!
I’ve said it before, I’m not a Tula diehard, but I still like a whole helluva lot of it. As I continue making my Cut It Up QAL quilt using only Tula fabrics, these are going to offer a great injection of humour, memorialisation, and colour. Tula rarely misses when it comes to colour, and babes, I am here for it! I could build my own life raft from the onslaught of Tula stash additions coming up, so brace for impact!
So beautiful… Are they yours? I would like to know where I could find them!
Pile it on! It’s 4° here. Buried under fabric is what we do best! Love her designs and how she has design inside design. Did any Tula go in the shirt and tie or Lava quilt? So fun. Thanks
