Sunday Stash #277 – Entwine
I hope you have your pearls on, because they’re about to be clutched! Let me know when your jaw has resumed its normal operating position. Gwen Stefani famously once said, “This shit is bananas!” and I couldn’t agree more. Let me introduce you to one of Giucy Giuce’s latest fabric collections for Andover Fabrics: Entwine. This is the full fat quarter bundle I recently purchased from Polka Dot Tea Fabrics after seeing her flaunt it on her Instagram account. I’m such a sucker for a tonal rainbow, and this is no exception!
One of my key questions I asked Jeannette of Polka Dot Tea before purchasing, “But what do they feel like? Are they soft?” Her immediate response, “Much better than I even anticipated.” And Lordy, was she right! These yarn-dyed wovens are created on a special dobby loom which allows for the geometric details, and slight texture. Because of that, you’ll get a slightly different look on each side of the fabric–hello, two for the price of one! I’m currently dreaming up my next rainbow-tastic project with these divine creatures! Well done Giucy on this collection (and honestly, all of them)! If you’re not familiar with his work, you have your own work to do!
Fabulous colors. Even better that both sides are useable. After all you paid for both sides. (a teacher taught me that many years ago) Will have to look for this line in the States. He does incredible work in his quilts
I BB love the colour range. I know what you mean by soft and tactilely pleasing. Some fabric from stores you touch and all you feel is stiffness from the sizing. Then you go to cut it and it’s off grain and you feel like a paper cut is about to happen. That’s why I like buying in store not online. I appreciate the colours and the texture and who doesn’t like to pay the fabric. A bit like squeezing the melons.
Well I love the fabric line and I pay the fabrics and I didn’t proofread cuz I just woke up!
