Run[a]way
Did you survive the Thanksgiving long weekend? Furthermore, did you survive the ensuing shopping-palooza that occurs as part of Black Friday through Cyber Monday? And like really, what’s with Cyber Monday sales now lasting all week? It’s all just too much for my wallet to take, so I ignored the whole turkey experience. Get some stuffing up ya! If you did partake, I hope it was for some stellar discount, or a crazy fabric bundle you’ve been aching your bones for over the past year. If you have any scraps send them my way! I have wholeheartedly enjoyed looking the other way!
I needed a social media break anyway, any who and any how. What better time than when all my American friends and relatives are gorging themselves on pumpkin pie? Gag me with a spoonful of Cool Whip! We don’t have Cool Whip in Australia, so really I’m probably more jealous than anything. So truthfully, I’ve been off of Facebook and Instagram for nearly two weeks. Do I miss them? Not really. More and more, I’ve become increasingly interested in anonymity. Just let me get my sew on, and maybe someday I’ll release a brag real of all the things I’ve created. However, by that stage you may not be interested!
During this social media slash holiday break, I can’t say I did a whole lot of sewing either. I fondled some fabrics, reset my sewing space, read some blogs, and pondered my existence in the sewing world. Ever since starting my new position at my fruitful tech company, I don’t have a whole lot of time to spend being creative. The struggle is real, y’all. I do what I can with what I have when I have it. (<— Life motto.) So this is a shout out to all of you who are struggling to achieve great things, one step at a time. I feel ya. Might as well down this Camus bottle. Meanwhile, I’ll sit back, spin the new Mariah Carey album on repeat and just put Caution to the wind.
Let love be your Runway.
I feel ya. And I love ya, Molli. I’ll be here when ever you have time. Instead of sewing, I’ve been de-stashing and preparing a package to send to the California guild that lost everything in the Camp Fire. We must count our blessings every day. You are one of mine. You cheer me. Thank you. Take good care of yourself.

Understood your post … but know I love your style and miss you! I also know ya gotta do what you gotta do whereas your “free” time is your time – do what works for you. Hope you know that those who follow you “get it”.
Enjoy the Camus….awesomeness in a glass! To Sparkly-ness ! 🍷
I get it. I do miss your fabulous photo and sassy mouth but it’s way more important to be true to your heart. I’ve been buying way less fabric, destashing by sending to Camp Fire guild and hoping for a little time to sew in the next few weeks. One binding left to do and no gifts to make in a mad dash stealing my happiness. Find joy in all you do my friend.
