The Honey Pot Bee: June
Do you know what time it is? It’s time to celebrate our halfway mark! While it may not be quite halfway through the year, June marks are sixth instalment of The Honey Pot bee blocks. This means which you finish these, you’ll be rolling around in about half the blocks for your quilt top. Amazing! I can’t believe the creativity you have been showing off in your interpretations so far, and with these blocks I know you’ll be sewing with reckless abandon!
Our first member of the June royal court is a long time friend (quilt, or otherwise) of mine: Alyce from Blossom Heart Quilts. She was my first international quilt buddy, and we initially met over a scrap of Violet Craft Madrona Road fabric. Don’t you just love how fabric brings people together?! This month Alyce is going modern-traditional by showcasing a nine-patch, 4″ Economy Square Block tutorial. This gives you lots of room for exploration, fussy cutting, and a knock-em-dead filler block. I can’t wait to make this one!

Next up is a lady with lots of experience with sewing, fabric, writing, designing, and selling, Lordy, she’s done it all! Meet MIMI! I asked her to tell us all a bit about herself and she had this to say:
[EDIT: There were some initial errors in the tutorial that have now been fixed.]
Urban Woven Block
And there you have it: June is ready to go! I’m still travelling around Singapore for a bit, so these are going on my To-Do list. I can’t wait to see all of your interpretations on Instagram and the Facebook group! As my good friend Ellen Degeneres says, “Be kind to one another.”
MiMi’s tutorial isn’t opening with the link, and I could not find it. Help please and thank you. I love Alyce’s block too, I’ve been wanting to try that one. Funny I have some of that Alice in Wonderland fabric and it’s perfect to fussy cut. I can’t wait till I get home. Xox
the urbanwoven block tutorial does not open with the link. Please help…already have some ideas for this one.
Great blocks again! Thank you Molli for sharing these on the last day of May because we couldn’t wait more! x Teje
As you know by now, Mimi’s link is not opening 🙁
It really is amazing we are already to June. Once again, great blocks and thanks for all you do to host this bee!
