Sunday Stash #192 – The Second Coming
Some might call Alison Glass a religious experience. I can completely understand why! As I mentioned last week, I began adding to my collection of fine fabric goods (ahem, stash) some of her most recent releases that I purchased from Intrepid Thread. The more I pet them, group them, and rearrange them, the more I realise I’ve missed out on a few holier-than-thou moments. This must be what sinning feels like! I think I need to say a few Hail Marys for my ignorance.
Ignorance is not bliss, y’all. Ignorance is the inevitable, “What was I thinking?” regret that you get when you didn’t buy the fabric you should have! So now I live my life in an eternal Alison Glass scavenger hunt to see what I might find. It’s a cruel, cruel world, but that’s the price you pay for being a stupid-head. I know you feel me though, because look at these colours! The saturation, richness, boldness… and I’m not just talking about me!
When you combine these jewel tones with the earth tones from last week, there’s nearly a full rainbow. (Where’d the blues go?) Obviously, this means that a rainbow quilt is definitely on order. I haven’t made one of those in such a long time, and this seems to be the logical inspiration. However, Sun Prints 2017 … hmmm, that’s not far around the corner, and something tells me they could be worth the wait!

I am definitely loving these jewel tones. I’m thinking she even felt like the blues were out of balance in her collections: hence, Handcrafted Indigos.
You’ve got me craving the Allison Glass fabrics Mollie: If I see these I’m gonna have to snap them up.
Sinning indeed. After one mojito too many I remember telling my 12, 14 and 16 yr old that eating the incredible dessert was as close to orgasm as they could/should get at their age (Much to their gob stopped chagrin). Perhaps this could apply to those sensual fabrics. Chuckle, chuckle Mr Sparkles.
I love Alison Glass fabrics. Linking up today and enjoying the pretty fabrics in the links. I wandered in from Yvonne’s site and I am happy I did. Thanks for hosting … 🙂 Pat
I have yet to discover the joy of Alison Glass. I’m not really a great one for the shimmer and bling but I really feel drawn towards these
