Life’s a beach.
It feels like it’s been work in progress Wednesday for eternity around here. I can’t even remember the last time I had a finish, but I am chipping away at several projects at once. One of those which I am really excited about is my Diva Alphabet pattern. I just sent out a request for pattern testers to the Glitterati Army. If you’re not part of the Glitterati Army and you need to be, send me a message so I can add you to the mailing list. My goal is to have this pattern available for purchase in early 2016, so I’ll gladly take the small steps towards a finish for this one! The bitch beach below was made using Kim Andersson’s (iadorepattern) Tidal Lace collection, combined with Kona Celestial. It all started from some leftover 1.5″ HSTs. Yeah, I know.
The other project taking up so much of my precious time is a take on my Twisted Elegance pattern. Its working title is Twisted Butlers because I’m using my full range of David Butler / Parson Grey fabrics (finally). I keep playing with the colour order using Adobe Illustrator, but Lord Latifah, I think I need to just start sewing! I might live to regret it, but I really need to be sewing by the seat of my pants on this one and just see what happens! For the background I’m using Art Gallery Pure Elements Linen White which has a creamy tone that is complimenting the natural tones of the other fabrics.
I’m not expecting a finish any time soon, but I’m completely okay with that. I’m enjoying exploring the patterning process, which will hopefully allow me to interact with this amazing community in a whole new way! Plus, Mr. Sparkles really really really finally finally finally wants a quilt. Yeah, I know.
I cannot wait to for you to start the ‘Twisted Elegance’ quilt. The pattern is amazing, especially with those colors. Pattern writing is not easy (especially for my brain), but it doesn’t stop me from trying and hoping!
You rock, Molli Sparkles! Anxiously awaiting the Diva Alphabet pattern.
The natural color really does compliment the tones of the ‘Twisted Butlers’ design. I look forward to you getting sewing and getting peaks of that progress!
I really like where you are going with the Twisted Elegance design and David Butler fabrics.
I like the Beach and I’m awaiting the Twisted Butlers quilt, with breathless anticipation.
I would love be join the glitterati and test you patterns.
You know what I really love about these.. is the detail of the half square triangle on the bottom left.. so simple but makes them so much .. more! 🙂
