Sunday Stash #147 – Libertyliscious + Giveaway
I’ve got two more Liberty-licious bundles that I’ve put together this week from some new squishy mail that came in last month. This first one I’m calling 70s Americana because I think I saw all of these fabrics on That 70s Show at some point or another. That Ashton Kutcher’s done alright for himself for a man that rose to fame wearing orange velour, hasn’t he? But you know who I loved more than him and his abs? Laura Prepon (the redhead) who is now most notably known for her work as Vause on Orange Is the New Black. I totally digress, but I think we see that orange could be a common theme here!
So this is a whole bunch of “pretty,” right? Pansies, lavenders, irises and roses, and let’s call it a day! I’m sure you know this isn’t really my scene, but as I’ve said many times before you don’t have to like all the things to like some of the things. To celebrate someone liking this more than me, let’s give it away! There are six F16ths here that I’ll gladly send to you, along with a few other Liberty scrap-goodies that I’m sure I can rustle up.
Leave me a comment with your favourite type of flower (mine are tulips and calla lilies) and I’ll draw a winner during next week’s Sunday Stash. Oh, and if you want to send me flowers, you can totally do that too! wink
Daffodils! All the way! 🙂
I'm old school. I love roses and orchids
Gardenias. Creamy white flowers with a wonderful scent.
Most of the flowers I love are for the fragrance: lavender, honeysuckle, and lilacs. Thanks for hosting this link-up.
Gerber daisies! And a flower joke for you that my dad shared (and then had to explain) to my nine-year-old self:
What's better than roses on your piano?
Tulips on your organ!
Tulips and trillium 🙂
Love dahlias and all roses! Really any flower is my favorite. 💐
I love crocuses. I love how they poke their hopeful little heads up right through the snow to remind us of better times ahead. Beth @Words & Stitches. Pbstrand@msn.com
Lilacs!
I like all flowers but the waratah is quite a favourite of mine. Lovely Liberty fabrics, a couple of them remind me of dresses that I wore in my younger days.
@)—‘–,— (a rose for you)
My favorite flower is a weed, it is the scottish thistle! Love the throw-back fabrics, puts me back into the 70's!
Roses, & the dandelions my kids bring me!
I do love an Ausralian native – hakea – and wattles and grevilleas and….
Roses, & the dandelions my kids bring me!
Hi Gorg long time no linky x My absolute faves are Old Fashioned Roses and Peonies, followed closely by White Asiatic Lillies….all together in a bouquet and I would be at your mercy!
I do like a good Gladi!
My Dad used to grow them so they were always in the house and garden when I was growing up.
Fond memories.
Blousy roses, tulips, grape hyacinths, daffodils, waratahs….I like so many…….hard to stop at one or two!!
Cannot say that I have a favourite flower! When you asked that question I was like "dunno" Maybe Frangipanis because I went to Figi for my honeymoon and they were everywhere. so nice memories 🙂 I don't really need to win Liberty though. Let someone else who really love's it win 😉 x
(PS My 23 yr old daughter and I binged watched Orange is the new black when it came out on Netflixs! Friggin awesome! ) I'm a Netflix junkie!
I love pretty much any lily… But let's stick with the orange theme and go with tiger lilies!
I love fresias, roses, lily of the valley and hydrangeas. Hard to choose a favourite as you can see!
I love Morning Glories. No other flower opens with the sun and close as it goes down. They grew wild in the are I lived as a child.
Tulips
I love Sunflowers!!!
Beautiful fabric pulls! I love Calla Lillies. They are gorgeous!
My fav flower is the Poppy!
Tulips are my fav. But every time I try to grow them, the bunnies come along and use the new growth as a salad bar, and should they miss anything and a flower appears, the deer come along and eat the blossom right off the stem!! So frustrating!
I love the native Canadian columbine which is very subtle and not at all like those loud and flashy hybrids. I'm also partial to the Eastern Lupine. I love my native plants, they make you step in closer for a look to catch their beauty.
I'm such a sucker for fresh flowers of any kind, but I'm quite fond of lilies. 🙂
I love water lilies and hibiscus.
Hydrangeas and cala lillies
Roses are my favourite flower x

That should have been laciness!
Loooove the fabrics!!! Have never seen Liberty fabrics in person..would be thrilled to win some!! Thanks for the chance! 🙂
I love Roses & Daisies!
I love Calla Lilies as well. I also love magnolias. There is a big magnolia tree on my dog walking route that smells devine while in bloom. They are also part of the best southern movie ever: Steel Magnolias.
Hi and thank you for sharing those beauties! My always favourites are tulips. I used to have them in my Finnish garden in many colours. I love also the little jasmins that we have now in our Greek garden – they smell gorgeus. x Teje

My favourite is marsh marigold. So bright and found in such an unexpected place!
Liberties are so darned pretty!
My favorite flowers would have to be gerberas and roses. I do like the longevity of carnations, too. They are my go-to for fresh cuts in the kitchen! Thanks for the chance to win!
Lily of the Valley smells so good. jarvenpa1ne at gmail dot com
Gerber daisies, love them!
I love Lily of the Valley – so fragrant 🙂
Snapdragons. They come in every color of the rainbow. When I was little my mom planted them every year and she would squeeze their cheeks and make them "talk."

I'm with you. Tulips are my favourite. They're a very simple shape but really beautiful.
Lilacs!
I'm with Kate – Lilacs. They are so pretty and the smell is intoxicating. 24Tangent@gmail.com
My favourites are old fashioned roses – the ones that have that real rose smell, canna lillies for their hot tropical colours and daphne for it's winter scent. thanks for the chance.
Lisianthus are my favourite. Soft and dreamy with the shape of a rose.
But, I do love a heavily perfumed tea rose, I was given a purple rose at some point in my life that had the most amazing scent.
I will send you ALL the calla lilies – I can't stand them or their perfume! Probably because we had a cat and the pollen is toxic to them.
I love roses, but for sheer alien awesomeness, the passionflower is hard to beat. Drooling over this bundle!
I am stuck between Zinnias and Dahlias- big pom pom flowers are clearly my thing.
I love Hydrangeas — but I can't seem to make mine bloom. They are still my favorite flower– in everyone else's yard.
Got to be roses–they just look and smell so pretty!
My favourites come from bushes and trees, Hellebores, Daphne and Orange Blossom, Clematis and I will stop there.
I forgot to add Peony, they are so beautiful.
My favorite flower is lilacs, wish they lasted longer.
My favorite flowers are peonies, irises and hibiscus. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity Mollie!

Right now my favorite flower is cow pasture daisy (similar to a sunflower) A common weed but this year it is in full bloom and covered with bees and butterflies. Of coarse my favorite in the spring is the Texas bluebonnet.
dorothymatheson@gmail.net
Roses for sure. I would love to own a piece of Liberty fabric. Have to see for myself what the big deal is all about. Other then the beautiful colors of course.
Hydrangeas are my favorite flower. Thanks for gifting the Liberty fabric – it's beautiful!
I love everlastings
I don't think I've ever seen a flower I didn't love. I always thought daffodils were my favorite, but the last few years, it's been Cleome that has won me over. I planted a starter pack in my garden about 5 years ago and now they come up like crazy on their own. I have to weed many of them out or they'd take over. They come in purple, pink and white and are so graceful and abundant.
gardinias! They smell so beautiful.
I'm also not a big fan of Liberty's florals, but WOW — that non-floral print in the first pic is awesome!! Do you know the name? I can't find it on The Strawberry Thief's website or even Liberty's website. Love it.
My favorite flowers are calla lillies and sunflowers.
As I am a little Dutch girl tulips are of course one of my favorite flowers and the others are fressiers….
My favorites are lilacs and tulips. Just wish I could grow either of them where I live.
I like yellow roses and African violets
I love Bird of Paradise. Unfortunately I can't grow them where I live, but once in awhile I indulge myself by going to a florist and buying one. Thanks for the awesome giveaway. Liberty= swoon!
My favorite flower is a bearded Iris. I have loved them since childhood. The Liberty fabrics are luscious!
poppies please always so fresh
Toss up between peonies and sunflowers. Are US comments eligible?
I love Sunflowers and Orchids. Brightens my day.
Daffodils. The squirrels don't eat the bulbs and they surprise me every spring. They're just happy!
I love petunias, especially the wave variety. Thanks!
Please click on the delaineelliott above for my email link.
Frangipanis are my favourite – the scent is amazing.
I love almost all flowers, but one of my faves is lilac. Started my lilac bush from one that grew in my mom and dad's yard. Love it!
Sunflowers and Cala Lillies.
I love whatever is in bloom right now–today including alstroemeria, lantana, crepe myrtle and roses. And just a few blooms on the yesterday, today and tomorrow bush (shades of purple that change daily). I always look forward to what will appear soon, too.
That is a tough one! I love fields of lavender, orange, apple, and cherry blossoms, and teeny tea roses.
Geraniums

Is this open to non-Aussies? If so, I love day lilies and peonies.
Lilacs are my favorite flower.. I just love the odor they emit and make me happy. I also love daffodils and tulips.. all three flowers tell us that spring is here and winter is over..
Hello Sweet Man,
I'm just lovin' your Liberty love posts!!! Yes, Laura Prepon was my favourite on That 70s Show and even more so now as Alex Vause. I'm crushing on her rocker style!
My favourite flower has been the tulip for a long time…especially the very-hard-to-find lavender coloured ones. I DO NOT like roses(bad memories there) or carnations(they are funeral flowers) at all!
Thanks sweetie!
Quilty Huggs,
Jacqueline

I love irises. They are just beautiful. The color of purple is just perfect in early spring.

My mom was a florist, so we had flowers in the house all the time growing up. Hard to pick a favorite, but lilies of the valley are in my garden from hers, so I'll stick with them for now.
I love Peonies and Anenomes 🙂
I like calla lilies too and then after that I just love my spring bulbs, daffodils, tulips, etc.
As a botanist, picking a favorite flower is like picking a favorite child. 🙂 I _think_ I like daffodils most … but might choose something else on a different day.
🙂 Linda
Roses and chrysanthemums, tho not in the same bouquet.
Lily of the Valley
I have so many favorites — but I will say Peonies.
With a name like Rose….I have to say roses! Thanks and God bless! ILuvTheEucharist @ aol.com
