Sunday Stash #86 – Does This Match My Outfit?
Two packages arrived at my office this past week (well, actually a few more than that, but we’ll talk about those next Sunday.) The first was from my dear quilting-ninja-friend, Mishi Kichi. When I opened the package, I thought she had sent me a hat–albeit a slightly too small one! As I was resting it on my head, slightly askew (so chic!), I found a note in the package that read:
Molli – This is a thread catcher. But it’s twice the size it should be; I figure if Molli is going to have a thread catcher it should be the biggest!! But you don’t have to use it as that (I don’t.) The sparkly button in the bottom is the special touch. xoxo – MK
Oh. Thread catcher, right. I quickly swiped it from my head, hoping no one else in my office had witnessed my faux pas. Mishi had also sent the left over fabric, which is gloriously over-saturated, and reminds me of that acid trip I took in 1972. It was exactly like that. You can see I’ve already put this super-sized thread catcher to good use by filling it with my Kate Spain HST trimmings!
Luv the fabrics in the blogger's bundle! The other blue/teal fat 1/4 conjures up images of paua shells & all things kiwi! L
Nice bundle!
im still wondering what u were going to do with it when u thought it was a hat? hahahahaha also what part of me says i would make u a funken hat?? i know im BSC but bitch please a HAT!!!! hahahaha next time there'll be no note 😉 😉
That is so fun that both packages went so well together!
What a great bundle…and thread catcher. Love teal.
Great package!
Very nice bundle. Love those blues and greys!
Oh I love that bundle. Great choices!
That bundle is divine, Molli – love the low volume polka dot. And the new "hat" is cute, too ; )
Colour co-ordinated mail!!! Love it 🙂
CALLED IT! :p
*gorgeous* bundle!! Love it. And the thread catcher is pretty skookum, too!
Hi Molli, I'm sure you looked very fetching with your threadcatcher hat! I just posted on Sunday Stash and wanted to say hello and thank you for hosting it – it's a fun one to join in with and it seems to be motivating my mum to give me loads of nice stuff. I'm having a lot of fun reading back through your site too.
Happy mail is always good, and colour-coordinating happy mail is extra fab!
I am very happy to say that I scored the last Molli Sparkles bundle from Fluffy Sheep and it arrived today, I added an extra 1/2 yard of black fabric with a white circular print. Now to figure out what to make.
Woohoo! Yay, now I really am a sell-out! Going to update the blog post now! Thanks for indulging me!
