Sunday Stash #74 – Noteworthy Winners
My local quilt shop, The Remnant Warehouse, has buy one, get one free, fat quarter Fridays. Y’all know I’m down for a deal! So every Friday that I can find a few spare minutes hours, I make sure to check out what is on offer. This past Friday was pretty fruitful! I have been collecting bits and pieces of Moda’s Noteworthy range, but this is the first of the Bucket List in blue mist that I’ve stashed.
So as I was perusing this Noteworthy fabric for all the life affirming things I should be ticking off my bucket list, I came across this lovely, little gem of a list. “Be Happy: go on a cruise, donate blood, start a blog, grow a garden, learn how to sew, have a daughter, have a son, wake up in Paris, teach a college class.” Well, colour me happy, I have done all those things! I feel so fulfilled!
I picked these two additional fat quarters from the BOGO bin. The low volume (trying desperately to embrace) on the left is from Moda’s 2wenty Thr3e, and that geometric, floral motif is from Moda’s Salt Air range. I have been trying to get my hands on a piece of that specific Salt Air colour way for ages, and you will not even believe how many little old ladies I had to push out of the way to get to it. Let’s just say they’ll think twice about leaving their canes at home next time!
Embrace the low volume it's fun…still thinking about how to use the damn TP bunnies…it's like you've jinxed me…and all I can hear is "Insane in the Membrane" every time I look at them LOL!
Ah I need a local fabric shop that has those sorts of offers rather than fabric at £3.60 per FQ!! Looking forward to hosting – thanks
LOVE the Moda Noteworthy!!! When I visit The Remnant Warehouse, I'll make sure to take along a cane… no one's going to beat me to any fabric that's to my liking.
Ooh yay thanks am looking forward to hosting 🙂 That is such a lovely LV print. Wish my local shop would do offers like that too!
Tickle me pink, we have the same prints in our stash this week! (although mine is the cream Noteworthy). I was similarly amazed how my trained eye can now pick out the best modern fabrics from a sea of not-so-exciting prints.
I MUST go on a cruise!!
Oh fun, I can't wait to see what you send me. But that list, well I've not done them all, hmmm.
Apparently I need to go on a cruise to Paris haha. Nice stashings. I really like the low volume print you selected. My LQS is having a fat quarter sale next month and I can't wait. Love deals!!
That is so cool that you have done everything on that checklist, did you teach the College class in Australia, I was just talking to my husband about whether or not the Universities are Free in Australia, they are in Greece when you take your exam in High School and immediately enter the University. Congratulations to all of the winners!
Nice deal on the FQs I'm only missing one item on that list. 🙂
Love Noteworthy!! As soon as it came out I bought some layer cakes and a bit of yardage and made a quilt top. My sister-in-law saw me putting it together and fell in love with it and claimed it for my niece. Couldn't deny my niece. But…..now I need another quilt in Noteworthy!!!
