A Star Is Born
Oh look at that hot stuff, right there, y’all! That is how it is d-o-n-e, done! Snap! Ever since Tuesday there has been a spring in my step. And let me tell you, when you wear heels as high as mine, you don’t really need that much more spring!Β Okay?Β Waiting for me when I got to work was a package I had been waiting for since January!Β It is my absolute joy to present to you my first (of many future) featured articles in a quilty publication.
Do you even realise how hard it was for me not to tell you about this?! Four freak-a-dinka months! Here is a low-resolution glimpse of my three-page spread in Australian publication Down Under Quilts (Issue 164), hitting news stands this month! It is sold internationally, so make sure you check your local big-box book seller or magazine stand to see if they have it. I’d love to hear from you around the world if you do find it outside of Australia.
I figure my publicist must have sent out advanced copies last week because I had the strangest phone call today. Would you believe it was Vanity Fair on the other end of the line? They tried to sweet talk me into a cover, even throwing in a photo shoot by Annie Liebovitz, herself. But I said listen, “You do that to Gwyneth Paltrow, and then you expect me to grace your covers? Oh, no no no. I have Down Under Quilts, thank you very much!” I promptly hung up the phone. And that is that!
Where are my sun glasses…the sparkle is overwhelming! Congrats and well deserved.
Congrats! That is fantastic! The first of many publications! Make sure your publicist puts a stop in the northeast US when you go on the tour!
That's awesome! Congrats! Quilt magazines definitely need more sparkle. π
Can you even fit through the door with that sparkling big head? π Great news & so very happy to see your work in print! xx
Well Done! No surprise really, you are a shining sparkly star after all! It must be brilliant having your own column! Next thing we know you will have your own fabric lines, patterns, you tube channel and quilting shop empire. I will be watching, π
Haha – Vogue eat your heart out! Can't wait to get my copy Miss Molli! And how on earth did you manage to shut your mouth for all those months? Respect! Sparkle on honey and enjoy the ride. I will also be watching (whilst holding my wine glass and sipping from time to time). xxxxx

This is amazing! I agree with the previous comment, jealous of you having "made it" so quickly :). Maybe one day I'll be there? But not with nearly so much style as you ;P
Look at your strutting your stuff all over that glossy mag. You just wait, your phone will be ringing' off the hook soon enough and you'll need to hire a precious assistant to manage everything.
So happy for you!
You just make me smile so big Joshua, every time you grace my space and I see huge smiles in all these comments. Keep on enjoying… good things. π xo

Congratulations! And honestly, what was your publicist thinking sending a copy to Vanity Fair? You have far more taste than that. I'm thinking Vogue (and not that trashy US version… the French version!)
Well done! Looking forward to seeing you "in print" when I pick up my copy, Linda from NZ
Many congratulations!!! Enjoy the moment. I'm sure there'll be many, many more.
High Five Glamour Gal!
Is Mr Sparkles OK with you shooting the stars??
With fame comes social responsibility . . so . . no paparazzi shots of you lookin' trashy . . OK?
Awesome, possum! Wish we got that mag here in the US, I'd pick it up fo shiz!
Bwahaha you are the nuttiest fruitcake Molli! Congratulations on your success – great work! Will keep my eye out for Down Under Quilts – I'm sure it makes its way across the Tasman from time to time…
Nice work Molli! All the cool kids are doing it, I hear π
OUTFRIGGINSTANDING!!! I'm so impressed with your work AND with your ability to keep this gem quiet!!! You so deserve all the sparkly goodness out there!!!!!
man, you are hot!
Holy woot-woot! Way to go, Molli!
I've managed to pick up past copies of Down Under Quilts in little old Guelph Ontario Canada in the past…so I'll keep my eye out for this one. They usually get here when they are a bit out of date….very expensive by the time they get here but its an interesting publication so worth it.
I'm searching for this magazine until I find it! Way to go!
Congrats! That is awesome!
