Sunday Stash #61 – Neutrality
Did my Aussie crew think I wasn’t gonna show up today? So that y’all know, I’m posting a little later on Sundays to make up for us living in the future. Now that I am here, I’m trying really hard to be fabric neutral! I see North Korea is off killing all its royals, meanwhile Lorde is taking her Royals all the way to the top of the Grammys. Both are equally insane.
Not insane is my fabric neutrality! I got sucked into the #greataussiedestash festivities on Instagram–I went along quiet willingly, actually–a week or so ago. I sold more things than expected and found some fabrics that were even better! Check out this five fat quarter bundle of selections from Amy Butler’s Lark, and Parson Gray’s Curious Nature and Seven Wonders. (The irony is not lost on me!) Would you believe I got all of these for $13.00 including shipping? Uh, yeah, I know! With all this great fabric exchange I’ve actually dipped below my starting point. That’s okay though because I have a few shopping expeditions coming up, believe, you, me!
I had wondered where you were at! Tis all good, m'dear x Can't wait to help you get restore that balance!
That destash was fun!
The destashes have been fun! I was quite smug that I'd only sold and not bought in ours, and then I spent more than I made in the fabric shop yesterday! Oh well…
I figure that I am helping out the destashers by buying up what they don't want. It's incredibly selfless if you ask me. Hehehe.
That's quite a deal! I have the top AB and I use it surprisingly often.
LOVE! I have the bottom cocoon print and used it in my Dinosaur Quilt. We have great taste obvs!
I just realized I never commented on this post! Goodness! That is an amazing bargain you got on those fabrics! I actually think I may have overspent on one particular #thegreatdestash bundle over here… $46 shipped for three fat quarters of Melody Miller typewriter fabric. Maybe that's the going rate for that fabric. I don't really know. What I do know is that I really wanted to add the typewriters to my stash.
I had some buyers remorse immediately afterward. I don't think I've ever paid more than $12.00 for a yard of fabric, much less $46 for 3/4 of a yard. *gulp* But when I finally had those fabrics in hand I fell in love so hard I think I bruised myself. Damn but they are splendiferous! So I've decided "buyers remorse be damned!" That was a major splurge that I don't regret!
