#MSBHQAL – Week 09 – Show Us the Goods
Well, well, well, it’s that time! It’s time to shake what your momma gave you, and show us the goods! Let me see your herringbones! That’s right, I want ’em flopped out on the table, sprawled across a tree, staple gunned to the wall, or snuggled on a bed. I’m opening the linky party today, and you have until this time next week to show the world what you’ve made.
Finished #MSBHQAL quilt tops or projects of any size are eligible. They do not have to be quilted. (If you sew two blocks together and try to pass it off as a quilt top, I might very well ban you from MolliSparkles.com. Just sayin’!) Two quilts will be judged as favourites, and two will be randomly drawn winners. You can add a blog post or Flickr page to the link up tool at the bottom of this post for your chance to win.
“But who could be so fabulous as to judge such an exposition?” I hear you mumbling to yourself. Well, I called in a favour by promising to never play Ace of Base’s The Sign again, and got Ms. Freshly Pieced herself, Lee Heinrich, to agree to pick her two faves! One will win an Eat Your Fruits n’ Veggies by Pat Sloan Aurifil thread-a-palooza pack and another will win a $50 gift certificate to Intrepid Thread! (Y’all know these are two of my favourite things!)
Two other randomly drawn winners from the link up will win one of these smaller, but totally ogle-worthy Aurfil thread packs below! If you haven’t used Aurifil yet, um, get ready to be blown away!
To recap, if you’ve finished a project, link it up. Two of you will win the grand prizes from Intrepid Thread and Aurifil, and a random two of you will win smaller Aurfil thread packs. I am crazy, stupid excited to see all of your finished projects!
A giant sparkle-filled thank you to our prize sponsors, Intrepid Thread and Aurifil! Y’all are gonna make some #MSBHQAL-ers very, very happy!
I'm so excited to see everyone's MSBHQAL finishes! It will be like a rainbow explosion!
Yay for finished quilts, thanks so much for hosting I have had a wonderful sparkly time in an otherwise dark few months!
Girlfriend, what swag!
Cool. I got six more days to get my act together, lol.
I don't have a blog and I'm very ignorant when it comes to "linking up" these pictures….give me a clue how to do this, please. I do have my picture out on Flickr.
Thanks for the experience. My first QAL! I quilted with white with random loops and then used variegated colored thread as an accent…not sure if it came through on the photo. It was so wonderful to see all the progress everyone made and I am looking forward to seeing all of the finished products. It is amazing to see the variations and the looks that are created with different colors, fabric patterns, sashings, sizes, arrangements etc…
Damnit, you saw right through that 2 blocks together idea ;o)
Crap! I have to finish?
Loved your motivation with this QAL. I have a 3mo old so it took A LOT of effort to get me in that sewing room and your funny posts whipped me into shape. Thanks for hosting and encouraging us!
I will just sew together what I ave and pretend the rest of the strips waiting to be turned into blocks don't exist …
These all look amazing – such creativity
My table runner is going out for quilting this weekend. It was fun to make!
I ran out of time and fabric, but this was a fun QAL! Once I finish the full quilt, I will post in Flickr.
You were all so creative, and I've really loved seeing all the amazing squares as they were posted. A big thank you to Molli Sparkles for bringing some rainbows and sparkle into all our lives with this QAL. So, what is next MS?
