Dreams I Dream
I had a dream last night that I got invited to a special, private concert by “Better the Devil You Know” songstress, Kylie Minogue. It was in a large stadium arena, but only the first two rows of seating were released. I was in the second row of this intimate show and shockingly I don’t remember any of the actual performance. (Like I could ever forget something as mind boggling as that!)
However, I do remember there was an opening act, and it was none other than Sarah Schraw of SarahQuilts.com! She was dressed in denim and a white boyfriend tee, with a guitar strapped to her, while singing catchy, folk-pop songs. I was totally jamming to one of her songs that I had also heard on the radio. So Sarah, if the quilting thing doesn’t work out, you may secretly have a career as a rock star!
What does all this mean?! As I rarely remember any of my dreams (it’s been years since I’ve remembered a dream) this one must be important! Am I longing for the glitz, glam and feather boas of the city? Am I seeing Sarah’s future? Should I be expecting a golden, hand-delivered ticket from Ms. Minogue herself? Or has the Outback simply fried my brain? The dreams of Molli Sparkles: quilts and a Minogue, sounds about right.
We are off to a Sounds of Silence dinner tour tonight underneath the stars. After all that walking I think I could eat an entire kangaroo. Then it is back to civilization tomorrow, and back to my beloved Juki. I can hear him calling for me from here!
OMG those fly net photos cracked. me. up. Be kind to the kangaroo…….
Darling! What can I tell you? The Outback is enough to fry anyone's brain. Did I almost say I told you so? 🙂 So glad to hear all will be back to normal soon. Take Grandma Sparkles to somewhere like Daylesford…so much more civilised don't you know? Hang in there Miss Molli. xx
Are we the only country that eats their national emblem? Something to ponder over dinner tonight lol!
Well, if anyone is going to make a pink mesh bag look good, it would be you! 🙂
This made my day. I'm so glad we've reached the point in our relationship that we can dream about each other. I think you were Kylie in the dream – that's why you don't remember the performance. And I would definitely open for you but let's keep it to quilts. You do NOT want to hear me sing.
Thanks for sharing the wonder-filled photos in your last two posts. Australia is the one place I've always wanted to visit. Your dream??? Hmmm… What IS up with that! Ha, ha!
LOL I can see Sarah as a rock star! What a beautiful country you live in, and what gorgeous photos. Thank you for sharing them.
I'm going for brain fried :oD
I think a little brain fried : ) I don't know if I've had kangaroo meat, but I've heard it's very tasty. Glad you got everyone, including your cutie, in the photos this time!
"if I have to put my head in a mesh sack, it might as well be pink!" – now that is a philosophy I can get behind!
Dreaming of glitz and glam in the outback… reminds me of a certain movie
