Blogger’s Quilt Festival – Fall 2013 – Baby Quilt – Rainbow Herringbone
Amy’s Creative Side is once again hosting one of the biggest online quilt shows on Earth! Everyone gets two entries, so I thought I’d go back to my broken herringbone roots and once again show off the quilt that started it all. I’m entering this into the Baby Quilt category, as it has already made a work colleague of mine very happy, and her little bub is already enjoying colourful tummy time!
This was made by contributions from the Aussie Rainbow Bee, and it had me crushing hard on this block designed by Anne at Play-Crafts. So much so, that I took it a step further and hosted the #MSBHQAL (Molli Sparkles Broken Herringbone Quilt Along). The #MSBHQAL is finishing up this week, so it’s fitting to revisit this quilt one last time now.
I love this quilt – I need to make a few of these blocks. I am forcing myself to finish a few other items first. Great baby quilt.
Love your first broken herringbone, baby! Thanks for getting us all hooked on that fab design!
the original and the best, love your work!
It's like seeing rock star's baby pictures, The Quilt That Was Seen Around The World. <3
Lovely lovely lovely. And I'm not sure I would have noticed the notches but now that you point them out, yep, totally my favourite part, too.
The last BQF is how I found your blog and instantly fell in love with your fabulousness!
it's gorgeous! Lucky baby 🙂
Ooo that's nice, I might make one of those myself *wink*
Love the two white notches in the binding!
