#MSBHQAL – Week 04
How’s your #MSBHQAL coming along? |
|
I’m already attaching the label bitches.
My blocks are done. Could you move a little faster ’cause I’ve got places to be?
Glitter in the eye. Right on target.
I’m nearly there, just let me chuck a sickie and I’ll be caught up!
I was gonna make 40 blocks, but now I’m only gonna make 4 and call it a mini.
OMG! You’re having a QAL?
So I was supposed to make yellow, green and teal. Well, I got the green one done! When pink wanders into my life, I really can’t say no. Audrey, do you feel me? Oh, and can you spot the batik(s)? Yes, loud, proud, and bent on batiks!
I sewed this lavender block on Betsi (Ms. Ikea), and really, it ain’t half bad. She was a bit wobbly, and I had to slap that bitch up a few times (LR), but she managed for the most part. Geez, what is going on with these photos? Someone, seriously, what have I done wrong because these are fugly.
You can see some of my #MSBHQALB from Intrepid Thread at work here. I love this bundle! Since I was only using one strip from it, I have tons of leftovers to use on other projects. Yes, I know, like I need any more fabric. Thanks for calling it out ladies, some things just don’t need to be said. Let them pass! (Can we just have a moment of silence for the glory that is Collage? …………… Okay, good again).
So what did y’all get up to this week? I’ve been looking through the Flickr photos and the quilts you are making are gonna be far better than mine, and I’m gettin’ all sorts of jealous! That being said, I’m so proud to be leading you into this crazy mess we’ve gotten ourselves into. So many of you thought this block was gonna be the end of you, and I’m tellin’ you now, it’s only the beginning!
1. Block 3, 2. Broken Herringbone Light blue, 3. Emerald! #MSBHQAL, 4. DSC08324, 5. Black Herringbone, 6. Beginning, 7. 004, 8. a really big block, 9. Pink Block No. 1
Now, ending where we began last week, it’s time to make you jealous.
Yes, that is a very young me with Dannii Minogue. See her throwing her cleavage at me?
Put the Needle On It, indeed! I declare!
I can't wait to join in, I want my life back!
Wowser, 2006 eh! Hot stuff both of you 🙂
Look at you all bright-eyed and mixing it with Ms Minogue! And may I just say that pink swirly fabric in your first block is simply gorgeous, as is the block. Makes my pink block look quite pale and insignificant! Okay, I've got a few blocks made but I'm just telling you now that they won't pull themselves together into a quilt until quite some time down the road but at least I've started, right?!
Your blocks are looking fabulous, despite what Google has done to them, Molli. Thanks for sharing a peak at the Flickr pool! And Dannii Minogue is gorgeous…. But truthfully, I had to paste and search, because I had no idea who she was. You two look like you could be siblings!
Oh, I still haven't gotten past my mis-trimmed red block!! Yours are looking so great and everyone on the Flickr pool is just rocking along. I'm jealous but nothing I can do about it until mid-October. :-
I cannot believe it is week 4. Where did they all go? I have a bunch of strips cut out, but only my poor mis-cut week one block done. If I didn't have to get my other quilt done by this weekend for a wedding, I would be right on them.

I'm working on them!
Hmmm…I usually copy and paste your post/images into a Word doc for myself to refer to easily. That works better than trying to "find" your particular post regarding a certain color. No problem up until today's post. None of the pictures will copy so I can paste them. Sounds to me like Google's been up to mischief and that's why your photos don't look too good either. ????
Google's been having a grand time screwing with things over the weekend, glad it's not just me that thought the pics went fuzzy…
Yours are looking good. I have 5 left to do (out of 30) and I hope to finish before I leave town on Thursday morning for a 4 day weekend. Running in a 5K in the mountains! When I return I have all day next Monday to sew and work on getting those blocks together! WooHoo!!!!!!
Oh shoot I don't even have a plan! I just had to make a block or two (actually 11) and now I don't know what to do next! I think I might just carry on and make more!
Woah, baby Joshua! How old were you there?!
Week four? Ugh. Strips are cut, but not much sewing done yet. Guess I better get on it! Your blocks look great.
Oh my goodness, so many eye candy today! Love your blocks! I wish I went the square path instead of my improv way, lol.
haha making me jealous .. I would first need to know who she is – yep I'm really living behind the moon and have absolutely no clue about people who haven't been dead for a while … and I don't really feel bad about not googling her
I'm missing the "come what may I'm going to catch up" – option … the strips are cut, the locks are just missing a lot of sewing time ..
I just love my four blocks…and I've got several cut and ready to sew…but it's been slow progress for me. Busy times right now. I'm following you closely tho…enjoying the ride…and I'll get'her done in my own sweet time!
I've got 20 blocks done, sashed and waiting for the border. Just deciding on the width of the border. It'll have to wait after that. I've got two quilts in the queue ahead of this one. I love it and am planning another in blue and white!
I got shut down by illness, but I'm hoping to catch up really soon. 6 blocks down out of the 30 or so that I want to make. But don't count me out! Cause I will get there, eventually.
