And here we go!
My first blog post! Took me long enough to get to the party, didn’t it? In honour of my fashionista lateness, some choice lyrics from The Scissor Sisters to start things off:
So I hope you’re up, girl, Cause we are all coming over Lock the doors, lower the blinds Fire up the smoke machine and put on your heels Cause I know exactly what we need! Let’s have a kiki! – The Scissor Sisters
That pretty much sums up Ms. Molli Sparkles (MMS!) I can go from smoke machine drama, to learning how to make that bitch of an Ikea sewing machine sew in a straight line. By day I work the 9 to 5 harder than Dolly Parton works her Cracker Barrel promotional campaign, and by night I sew, bake, photograph and find other creative ways to make a mess of myself. Oh, it gets messy; I’m still washing glitter out of my … uh, we’ll save that one for another time. Now, let’s make it till it’s shakin’ and bacon.
Just discovered that you are the 100th follower of my blog! Thanks! So it seams fitting that should be your first commenter. welcome to blogland! it's fun i promise. bloggers are awesome! I read your other post too. Yellow is my favorite color. Can't wait to see your quilt!

Welcome to the blogging world – I'm also a new blogger!! Started July 1st ! Love the look of your layout and I love your style of photos taking! When I get a bit more time I'm going to have more of a goosey gander and catch up to the latest post 🙂 You make sure you teach that Ikea Machine a thing or too! (and once you have learnt teach mine too!) <3 Kizzie
Welcome to Blogland … Love Sissor Sisters BTW. Might go pull up their songs right now on the ipod! Caz X
All this talk of celebrating your blogiversary, and I just realized I never read your first blog posts! So, I'm going back in time to see where it all began…; )
Hello!
I just finished reading through your blog. WOW. Thanks for the sparkles, glitter, laughs, and all the inspiration! I'm fairly new in ghe quilting world, although I have done a LOT of other arts and crafts. Next time when I have difficulty with color design, I will think "what would Molli do"… I must say, it is so nice that your partner's daughter calls you dad and that you are teaching sewing and quilting for the next generation! I also love that you started quilting using IKEA sewingmachine… It made me giggle. I don't have any experience using that machine, but I have lots of experience using other…affordable machines. I also finally bought a real sewing machine not too long ago… With quilting in mind 🙂
At the moment I'm still a no-reply blogger (one day I will get my geek on and all of that will change), but if you want to reply to this message (which you don't have to do) you can leave a comment on my blog http://aivosolunajatukset.blogspot.fi/
From now on I will get my glitter fix here. Keep on glittering! (I don't really know if that is English, but oh well…)
