Thank you for your perfect summary of what has been an all round shocker of a week. Tried to distract myself with a Japanese pattern book but the pretty dresses just couldn’t calm my disquiet. Hopefully some fabric play will help soon.

I hear ya, Molli, I’m in a Deep Purple Funk too. I’ve been calling my sewing room “My Bubble of Tranquility” and stay in it as long as possible. Love all your fabrics, esp the purple and orange. I get happy whenever I see an e-mail from you, esp if fabric pictures are involved. Love you muchly, and thank you for all you do for us.

Gurrrrrrl. You’ve brought up so many hot topics– abortion, conservative politics, hot fabric. But I want to kiki about the hottest topic of them all– this week’s Drag Race episode!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Silky Nutmeg Ganache can melt off my tv set any time now. She’s not good, her drag is messy, she’s obnoxious and conceited. Completely barftastic. I’m Team Brooke Lynn Hytes all the way. And she and Vanjie were ROBBED last week. Silky should have been in the bottom 2 and Vanjie would have slayed her in the lip sync. *hair flip + eye roll in disgust*.
Now for a bit of good news: Brooke Lynn came to Madison last week and I went to see her!!!! She was AMAZEBALLS!! Her second number was all on point while wearing a skin-tight leather cat suit. Errrr-kay?!? Someone asked her about Silky (before this week’s drama) and Brooke said she liked her and the the show would be boring without her. Sounds like Stockholm Syndrome to me!
I need a glass of champagne to get me through all this!

It’s awful that fabric can’t even make you feel better :o(

Somebody had to say it all. Oh how I can relate. Sigh.

Hear hear Molli, I’ve been involved in politics for over 30 years, and I don’t remember ever feeling this devastated by an election. I’m unsure if the gravity of this has sunk into Australians yet.
I can’t believe that our country is being run by a conservative Pentecostal Christian. The world just got so much darker.
As for Alabama, you take your gorgeous self there to visit your Grandma and you shout loud and proud for women’s rights to their own body.
This is not a time for people like us who believe in what’s right and fair in the world to go quietly. We have to stand up and let our voices be heard.
    Love you Molli, stay gorgeous

I also was disappointed that Nutmeg Silky is still there, after all those times of bad padding, and her sharpie marker makeup! I’m rooting for my Canadian Brook Lynn Heights. Ms. Vangie was fun, and I hated that she and Brook has to lip sync – I was hoping that they both got into the finals, ala season 10! No such luck.

And you didn’t even mention Madonnas performance and her shuffling priests 🤔, we are heading to the end times, the omens are not good 😂😂😂😂😜

  13. Kate says:

So many pretties! And I totally agree with most of what you said … except RuPaul’s Drag Race. But only cos I haven’t watched it 😁

  14. Elle says:

Thank you for this post. I find it depressing that more people aren’t shouting. Every day something really horrific is happening here, and I kept thinking maybe we’ll move to Australia just to see that it has the same awful leadership. I find it scary that so many people can elect these aholes.
