Just moved this past week, actually saw my #honeypotbee box today, but it will surely be a couple of weeks before I am in the studio regularly – must finish emptying the kitchen dish packs and set up the office first! @susansquiltstudio

I recommend the free lipstick block tutorial by Shruti Dandekar. I haven’t tried it yet but would love to include it in my Honey Pot Bee top! http://www.13woodhouseroad.com/2014/08/nail-polish-quilt-plus-bonus-tutorial.html?m=1#.U-BgIvldWSp

Bonus: the nail polish block by It’s Sew Emma is a free pdf pattern download from Fat Quarter Shop.

Here’s my $.02 for a block idea – how about Kate Basti’s Tall Tales Quilt block, free on her site http://www.quiltwithkate.com/patterns/ . Thanks Molli – enjoy Singapore! That’ll give me time to finish April’s blocks.

Lorna of Sew fresh Quilts has several quilt block tutorials. There is Zany Zebra https://sewfreshquilts.blogspot.ca/2015/03/zany-zebraz-quilt-block-tutorial.html. This finishes at 12″ by 14″.

I have 2 votes: I’ve been dying to make a x & + quilt, but haven’t yet. I think a block of that would totally fit the vibe so far! https://madebyabrunnette.com/2015/04/06/x-plus-block-double-size/ My other choice is a mushroom. I mean, come on! Who doesn’t love a mushroom??? And, coincidentally, my kiddo found the everloving jackpot of morel mushrooms in my backyard today, so that seems like a win. I’m probably making one regardless. Like right now. http://stitchingnotes.blogspot.com/2017/03/mushroom-paper-piecing-pattern.html

  6. I tried posting a day ago. No go. So. I vote for either this adorable mushroom http://stitchingnotes.blogspot.com/2017/03/mushroom-paper-piecing-pattern.html?spref=pi&m=1. Timely, as my daughter spied a treasure trove of Morel mushrooms this week!! I’m probably going to have to make this one regardless! Or…a block I’ve been wanting to make for a whole scrappy quilt… x&+. https://madebyabrunnette.com/2015/04/06/x-plus-block-double-size/

One of these would be good to balance out colour choices 😉
