I am happy for the women and children who will receive these quilts and I’m so glad that you finally get to give them away.

Some of us made a quilt for the police involved too.

Thank you Molli for caring for the quilts for so long. It is sad they’re not going to the designated families but at the same time it’s great to know they’re still going to families that need to feel the luv from others.
I’m just glad I got to contribute to an amazing cause. 💖💖

Great Job Molli!! A quilt to a good cause is a wonderful thing.

  8. Thank you so much for the update, Molli. I can definitely understand the delicacy of the situation and I am thankful that you found a way to get these quilts to someone in need. Thanks again for organizing it all and I deeply appreciate your care, concern, and extra sparkle of love you poured into this project.

Wow, wow, wow…..very impressive! What an awesome project! Too bad I wasn’t in the loop at that time….I would have loved to participate

  10. Lisa says:

Aren’t they wonderful and sunny and bright…..I’m glad you took them out of the closet. Can I find my blocks? No, I can’t remember what I sent you but then I couldn’t find my Orlando quilts either! It sounds like a perfect cause to donate the blocks too. I am the co chair of my local guild’s outreach committee and we make quilts that go to a program housed in our hospital for survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence, so your cause is close to my heart.

  11. Sue says:

Well done you. They were gifts to start with, so I’m sure they will find homes that need some cheer’ and the knowledge someone cares.

  12. Judy Cinerari says:

I just saw my hashtag – mine is the wonky one! More than happy for these to go to victims of violence. Thanks for the organisation and the inspiration.

  13. Laurelle Coppard says:

Sorry your original plan for them didn’t work out but it’s fantastic to hear they will still go to a great cause. Well done. All our heart’s were in the right place when we made those hash tags and thanks to you it gave us a small way to help out during a terrible time. x

  14. Debbie says:

Appreciate your thoughtfulness surrounding this project and pleased to see the quilts gifted now. Thank you!

  15. Karen says:

I think that is a fabulous idea. I have been a supporter of Keepsafe Quilts since it started and I think it is a most worthy destination for those quilts. Thank you for organising the initial quilt drive and getting them finished so they can donated.

  16. Caroline says:

Thanks for the update Molli, great to know they are going to such a worthy cause!

  17. Thanks Molli and all the #sewingforsydney Glitterati for caring so much for the victims of violence. I’m sorry the quilts didn’t get to go to the original intended recipients. KeepSafe Quilts will definitely make sure that the quilts get to be used for their original intention though – to comfort the victims of violence. We are so grateful to your village of quilty peeps for their empathy and love. Cheers Jackie, Director – KeepSafe Quilts.

I “think” I made a block for you, lol, lost a bit in my aging memory. Thank you for getting all of the quilts made and safely stored. It surely sounds as if you found an excellent alternative need to meet with the donation to women and children who, have experienced domestic violence. Thank you. @susansquiltstudio
