The airplane fabric is really fun! It seems you have been set straight on the airplane differences! We all do and say similar things like that. At least you both made it into a running joke instead of a feuding point!

  2. Try being an aerospace engineer who is in it for the “space” and not knowing the difference between small aircraft; it was not pretty! So I can relate to your situation with Mr. Sparkles a bit. I’m not huge into novelty prints, either, but I really like the map LV you picked up. 😉

I was wondering. Why are your fabrics so perfectly folded? Do you press them and put cardboard in the middle. They always look manicured. This impresses me. I assumed they were all large cuts, but when I saw 1/2 yard…eels…that is not so easy to make perfect looking. Hmmmm, I will have to try harder.

  4. Ha! i think a quilt named “Aren’t All Airplanes the Same?” would be so fun. And you’re the perfect quilter to create it. Love the map fabric and as you say, it does triple duty! Can’t ask more than that.

  5. Molly, I love that Australian novelty print – screams “embroider me!” And the “aren’t they all the same?” reminds me of how living on a military post, I quickly learned that one should be able to identify all helicopters and winged aircraft (and cannon, and tracked vehicle lol) solely by engine noise or number of blades/wheels… I’m still working on it ; ) I’m pretty good visually, but not by ear!
