Sunday Stash #209 – I Woke Up Like This

Okay, so a little bit hung over today! But what would a proper New Year celebration be without a champagne supernova?! I woke up this morning with a champagne flute still in my hand, my tiara around my neck, and a pink sparkly tutu at my feet. Your guess is as good as mine! Whatever happened, I’m pretty sure it was a helluva good time!

So for the first Sunday Stash of 2017, I dipped into the sorting chair and pulled out all those fabrics from Singapore that have a bit of the ol’ razzmatazz! (There are still so many more to unveil, it’s embarrassing!) When buying fabric in Singapore it is usually sold by the yard. But, as a yard there is cheaper than a half yard in Australia, I didn’t mind filling my coffers one bit!

In these pics you’ll see I picked up some Cotton + Steel from Sarah Watt’s collection, From Porto With Love. I love those gold sardines, and I had been looking for them forever! The rest of these glistening fabrics are all from the in-house design studios of Robert Kaufman, In House, and Daean. I had never heard of the latter two fabric companies, but they have the silky hand of Art Gallery, while still being 100% cotton. I’ve got all these gems folded onto comic book boards and ready to be stashed away.

Okay, that’s it for today, I need to go rest my head, and find out where this tutu came from! Le sigh!
