Oval elements are out of print!!? Nooo!! I may have to stock up a little just in case what you are saying is true. Although I am determined to make a great big hole in my stash this year too. Mm mm. Dilemmas.

  2. There are some gorgeous colours of oval elements, nice choice! I like the stash manifesto idea, I can’t ever say I won’t buy fabric – as soon as I do I buy more, I don’t like being told what NOT to do 😉 It’s the rebel in me. That post made sense though and there was wiggle room. I definitely need to use what I have!

I feel like this is pretty trendy right now and I’m on board. I’ve lined up all my almost-done projects and also all the projects I specifically bought fabric for but never started. My goal is to finish at least two of each in the first half of this year. That said, I am planning on going to customer appreciation days at two different LQS in the next week. My goal mainly is to curb the online fabric shopping – I always end up buying more than I really want/need to get free shipping.

Oval Elements is one of my favorites and I don’t have any of them. ….sob…. I do love how they look in your HST quilt and cannot wait to see the finish.

  5. I really like these – especially the black and grey ones. They’d make a fantastic backing or binding. Really sharp!

  6. I am excited to hear what you come up with for your own stash manifesto. I’m not to a breaking point where I want / need to develop one, yet, but I am loving all the ideas I’m seeing being created this year. The concept of building in more of a “less” mantra and forgiveness in advance makes it seem so much more palatable (and realistic!) to me.

I’m looking forward to hearing your stash manifesto 🙂 I have a 5 yard chuck of the oval elements that I bought to be a backing a couple years ago, but now I’m tempted to use it for something else lol

I do love Oval Elements… I’ve got some of quite a few colours kicking around in my stash closet. I hadn’t heard anything about them being out of print, though I have noticed that shops I’ve bought them from don’t seem to be carrying them anymore. (Lots of squared elements, which I love, and the prisma elements, which I also love, but work in a different way because the prints are spread so far apart across the fabric.)

So here’s a question… when did you switch to a different blog platform? Because a while ago I realized I hadn’t seen any posts from you pop up on my reader in a long time and so I started dropping by weekly on my own (or whenever you mention posts on your IG acct), but finally today I looked on Feedly and it last updated in October! (And of note: when I added you again in feedly, it still lists ~400 readers for the old link and only about ~50 for the new one. So I’m wondering if a bunch of us Feedly readers got unknowingly left behind.)

  9. Beth says:

I love those ovals. I have a big stash of things that will be new to me when I clean out my craft closet. Can’t wait to get back in there and see what’s waiting for me that I forgot I bought.

  10. I have a few Oval Elements, but didn’t realize they came in all those wonderful colours. Now I want more!! Good luck with your Stash Manifesto.

  11. Marianne says:

I love these i just used the green ones in a scrap quilt on the weekend, it looks fantastic.

  12. Oval Elements… yum. So many shades of loveliness. I’m sad to say that I have just a few wee pieces in my stash. I am waiting with bated breath to read your Stash Manifesto. Thanks for spreading the love about The Year of The Stash and linking to my blog!
