I've seen a blue/green fabric somewhere but danged if I can remember where. I think it was in a collection with cartoon butterflies. Doh. Love the variegated thread and I'm in awe of your ability to FMQ with cotton. Mine keeps breaking so I've reverted to Isacord.

Try a different brand of needle… I had a problem with Klasse or Smetz (?) needles in my Janome shredding the thread – Gutterman, Aurifil, Wonderfil… spoke to Janome – machine cost more than my car… swapped to Janome brand needles et viola, no more shredding/breaking. There's a minute mm of a difference in length but it made a massive difference to not only my sanity but also me loving my machine…

I love those fabrics, don't stress about using them yet, they deserve to be stroked for a while! We all have stash guilt, but it makes us happy, which ain't no bad thing.

The turquoise fabric is from a moda line by Sandy Gervais called Soho Chic.

I don't feel guilty for collecting. i collect many things, fabric, thread, nick knacks, patterns, stamps, pens, note pads(to name a few). I have had people try to liken it to hoarding. They have no clue what they are talking about. My husband collects comic books, but dislikes my fabric collection (to give you an idea). I like to go through my collection, before starting a new project, to see if anything I already have works. I have made a few projects straight from my stash, when making presents for friends and family. When I get inspired from something I see online, I often already have what I need, or only need a few things to finish it(this is mostly for smaller projects). So, I really love have a variety of material on hand. (sorry if I am a tad rambly, it's 7:30am)

That navy is one of my favourites…… Anna Maria Horner – Field Study! ps. I'm pretending I didn't see that spool of thread…. x

I love the thread! I think I'll start hoarding thread instead of fabric…there are just so many gorgeous colors! I'm excited to see how your FMQ is coming along on the quilt. Perfection is so over rated, especially when FMQ is involoved! (so, that's my experiance!)

That navy and bright pink fabric is making me droooool! If you sit on it for too long and feel like it needs to go to a loving home where it will be not only stroked, but also made into something beautiful stat, just keep me in mind, okay? 😉 wink wink
