I'm totally with you on the fabricky babies….completely conceivable explanation for the multiplying fabric in my basement 😉

  2. V Hair says:

I have so much fabric I thinks it's about to declare itself as an independent nation. Those Shimmer fabric are gorgeous – how did I miss those?! *shuffles off to look at Hawthorne Threads"*

  3. I have a charm pack of the Shimmer – I go to use it, then bottle it completely and put it back in the cupboard lol! One day I'll be brave enough!

  4. I treated myself to that same rotating mat this week! Our MQG is doing the charity quilt thing and making HSTs – making it an essential purchase… like bread and milk really. Guess what Kona colour is making an appearance in those HSTs? WASABI! I totally hear you on not buying backing until the top is finished… it's a scary, scary proposition. I've been burned so many times… but that Shimmer is too good to do without!

  5. Kacey says:

Oooh, jealous of your rotating mat! You'll be an HST-ing machine!

I think I really need one of those rotating mats, just not the most exciting thing to spend money on! Looking forward to seeing what you have planned for Charlotte, are you getting her trimming for you?

  7. I never even THINK about the backs until the top is done…but that shimmer is to die for – must have! Also must have that rotating cutting mat – will be looking for it at Quiltcon for sure!

  8. Scrapatches says:

New blades + lovely fabric = sew much fun! I have a mat and cutter like this and bloc-loc rulers and I just love them,
I am linking up for the first time. Some beautiful fabrics in the links. Thanks for hosting … 🙂 Pat

  9. I'll go with the multiplying and having babies theory. I'm sure that's what's happening in my sewing room.

  10. Katy Cameron says:

Hell, I often don't even think about a back until the top's done!

  11. Love the shimmering netting fabric!! I may have to add some of that to my stash! You will love the rotating cutting mat with the Bloc_Loc rulers! They really will speed up the process! Thanks for hosting Sunday Stash!

Oh wow, that silver on white is stunning. I wasn't really "into" metallics but seeing your AMH feathers quilt has totally converted me. I LOVE the backing and binding, perfect choices. 🙂

  13. Anne says:

Oh, and I totally never buy backing or binding fabric until the front is done. I change my mind far too often to buy it in advance!
