I love Amy's style and am so excited to see some of the other quilts on this blog hop. I think this would look great in greys and white. Think like a diamond. I think this book will have to be added to my "to buy" list

  2. Pat says:

Wow! I think shades of blue would be stunning.

  3. Anne says:

This is a book I can get behind. 😀 My fist thought was low volume + rainbow, because I /know/ you're a fan. ^_^ Then I thought navy + citrons & aquas but I think that's just because it's my latest obsession. Dark greys and pomegranate with flecks of red and gold. I don't know, give me the dang file and two hours in Illustrator and I'll have an answer!

  4. Alison says:

Wasabi green ash grey Kona solids would be my starting point

  5. magistra says:

I would like some deep teals with chartreuse or limes on a gray background. I do really like this block!

  6. Verena says:

Thank you for sharing the book. I think I would make the quilt in various shades of red.

  7. Hi Molly!
I would make this jadeite colours just like the Fire King depression glass collection I own.

  11. Indianna says:

I think it would look fabulous in blue Oakshott lipari as they would sparkle like sapphires.

  12. SilverCat says:

Looking at the quilt I suspect that you could use jelly rolls for chunks of it, I'm envisioning a nice rainbow gradient combined with various shades of grey!

  13. I love her designs I have a bundle of teal fat quarters that I think would look fab on a charcoal gray background for this to make the jewels sparkle

  14. This quilt is beautiful! I would make it in oranges and golds. Thanks!

Please click on the delaineelliott above for my email link.

  15. Tina Short says:

I would like to see it in shades of greens.. Think Emeralds. Thanks for the chance…

  20. Susan says:

OH! I'm a bit of a sucker for purple – so I'd probably choose a deep royal purple – or jade greens would be lovely – any jewel toned fabric really – and bali's.

  21. Gail says:

Oranges, pinks, reds, yellows, lime would be my choices for colors. This is a beautiful and complex design

  30. Brenda Iwami says:

I'm thinking of starting with Sapphire and winging it from there!

  31. dquilterguy says:

Icy blues! I'm thinking ice crystals here. Gorgeous!

I like the blues…maybe a rich navy to start. Beautiful quilt.

  34. Meg Tison says:

Beautiful! It would look great in any color, but I'd probably pick red and grey -my favorite combo at the moment.

  37. Bella Quilts says:

My favorite colors would be reds and blacks. Would also go for yellow, red and orange; blue, green and yellow. Bright colors.

  38. I would totally make this in shades of blue for my birth stone, sapphire. Thankfully sapphires come in so many colors that leaves the interpretation of each block wide open which would be fun.

  39. Lesley says:

You about greys and a bright like lime green?

  40. At the moment, I'm more than a little (unhealthily so) obsessed with teal and grey colour combos. I think that's where I'd head if I were to make Faceted Jewels. And remember when you're choosing the winner that I could have pandered to you in the basest of ways and said that I'd have made it in fuschia and glitter.

  41. Shauna says:

I love the purples, since purple is my favorite color, but I could also see it in beautiful emerald greens, or ruby reds. But I also think it would be wonderful in just about any color!

  42. Pank says:

I would do the hot pinks to faded pinks with a drizzle of kona snow in there! Cheers

  43. One Wee Bird says:

Shades of pink and orange of course! Probably on white yo make your eyeballs pop out x

  44. Definitely a color order going diagonally down from the top left block (vivid pinks) and continuing down to the bottom right block with purples. (So one pink block two red continuing diagonally). Really bright vivid solids on a black background so it looks like a crystallized rainbow. Depending on how the fabric is cut it might be fun to also do the circles in color order but in the opposite direction starting at the bottom right and continuing up to the top left. (So the pink circles would be by the purple block and the purple circles will be by the pink block if that makes sense)

  45. Jan Q says:

Lovely pattern. I would do it in monochrome ie shades of grey with white background

  46. Debbie says:

Your quilt is beautiful. I think I would do yellows and golds. Anything would be pretty though. Great great job. Thanks for a great giveaway too. (debbie at wowilikethat dot com)

  50. Kathy Davis says:

Blue and white are my go to colors.

  58. pajtr says:

I'm seeing SO many combinations!!!… A versatile pattern, to make your own…
I think I'd like to make it at least twice… First, in shot cottons… Sky blue background??… With rich teals and browns ("Marsala"??!)… Maybe not, but in shot cottons…
Secondly, I'd like to see it in icy blues and blue/greens…. It would be my "glacial ice" quilt!

Wait, how did I miss this book coming out, because it is SO my style!! I love the Faceted Jewels choice, and can't wait to snatch a peek at the other patterns. When I win, I will make the quilt in… hmm I might go with my obsessive…er, usual teal and magenta with low volume/light greyish background. Or perhaps I'd go wild and make it in a pink gradient with a dark grey background (or navy blue!?) and give it to a little girl for her tea parties. Or maybe both? Thanks for the chance and I really really really hope I win!

  65. Dawn says:
