I didn't know the origins of the name Molli. I've been laughing and saying the name Miley with my jacked up Kiwi accent. It sooooo doesn't sound like Molli to me (which is why I'm laughing).

  2. Katie Dold says:

Thanks for making me laugh! That is fantastic advice. I'm in on the blog hop this year. Oh! Oh! Oh!

  3. amy says:

"If you fail, so what? No one died." – Best advice ever.

  4. Nicole says:

Gasp – has it been a year already?! I think I found you during last year's blog hop. Thanks for continuing to be so awesome.

  5. Vera says:

    Ha ha, you are hilarious!

  6. MsMidge says:

Very good Ms Sparkles. Very good. Now – I really need to get off my ass and find someone to renovate my blog……cos I've spent way too many hours looking at frigging templates!?!?!?

  7. Salley says:

You've almost twisted my arm, Molli . . . almost.
Its #9 thats got me worried.

Can I sign up for your colour me happy/design/blog writing weekend please? I know this great venue about 3 hours north of Sydney, single accommodation rooms, amazing (shared) showers AND if you're SUPER nice to me, I might even hook you up with the cook and the menu from the last time I was there, totally rocked my ass off!

Great advice! Man I wish I hadn't been blogging for so long and have only just found quilting I'd love to be a part of the blog hop – but I will console myself with reading your witty prose and watching the unicorn hug over and over again! 🙂 Keep sparkling!

  10. charlotte says:

Love it! Thanks for being your sparkly self. You have made blogland so much better with your presence.

  11. Belinda says:

Thanks for the tips I am just starting out my blog, I need all the help I can get!

  12. I've put my hand up to be in the new blog hop this year … must sort my header out … first impressions and all 🙂

  13. Great advice! I especially love #5, and I would add, make sure those links open in new tabs/windows. Don't drive traffic away from your site by opening in the same tab/window. Though I need to seriously work on #12….

  14. Renee says:

Still kicking myself for not being apart of the new bloggers blog hop last year! Great list of advice, I especially like that it was short, to the point and easy/fun to read.

  15. Beth says:

That was a great list! Made me laugh on more than one point!

  16. Kristy says:

This is the best. I think you could totally rock an advice column.

  17. Thanks for the tips. Hope I can make them work!

Hey Sparkly boy, you know I always listen to you LOL Just joined the group for 2014 and it's freakin me out already with how many emails are flyin, but I don't want to be a techno spaz forever, it means my kudos will never be able to leave home

  19. One Wee Bird says:

    See!!! Not kudos….KIDS…sheesh

  20. Kitty says:

I have one important question, regarding: "Ten: Keep your house tidy."… Since I'm spending all my "free" time sewing and blogging (with a tidy blog house), may I be excused from tidying my actual house? Great, thanks! 'cause who has time for that?!

  21. Hey recently discovered you….love your style!

  22. ~Diana says:

You are a cold hearted snake! Look into my eyes! You rock it Molli!

  23. Becky says:

Yours is one of my very favorite blogs. I'm not even a quilter, but I love to read your blog because your creativity, confidence and happy personality inspire me. I'm new to sewing. I started last summer and really enjoy it. I appreciate all of your blogging suggestions.

  24. Pat says:

Love the origin of Molli Sparkles. Not sure exactly when I started following you or how I found you but I'm really glad I did.
Great tips for bloggers … I'm not one but hope to become one. Wouldya believe I've had a domain for almost a year and not written a word? Seemed like the world went spinning out of control right after I paid for it and sometimes I wonder if I will ever get going. My intent was (still is) like you started – just to keep tabs on what I'm doing. Unlike you, I doubt I will ever hit the BBT (Blogging Big Time) but that's okay.

  25. Awesome post. HOW ARE YOU SO CONCISE AND FABULOUS. AT THE SAME TIME. *jealousy rays* I think I still need to implement some of this advice, so it did me real good to come over here!

  26. sonia says:

    Great tips! Thank you!

  27. Leanne says:

I'm good with this combination of "If you build it they will come" (Field of Dreams/Shoeless Joe by Kinsella) and I do as I like (teenagers today) with a dash of do a nice job and don't be messy about it.

  28. Katy Cameron says:

Ahh, nothing like a kid faux humping a unicorn to start your day off…

  29. I do so love me some funny and spot on advice – you've done it again, Molli! Thank you : )

  30. Paula says:

    Great advice, as always.

  31. Great advice!! Love you Molli!
