Lovely! The back looks great with that strip of pearl bracelets – definitely looks intentional.

Loving it. So very vibrant. The back defintiely looks intentional. I've never got into pearl bracelets but I have to say it actually looks really great on your cushion. I could yet be converted

Ah, you have 'opportunities' at work too, huh? ;o) Love the cushion though :oD

I do love a good orangey orange. Your daughter is oozing with good taste! I also love that the pearl bracelet fabric had pushed its way to the top of the scrap box and was calling out 'Pick me, pick me!'.

  8. Gorgeous! I am crushing on orange lately!
    And it's not a mistake, it's a design feature! 🙂

Seriously, you need to stop. I love it! As for the purple and orange,I love the color combo too, and I have a couple projects with purple and orange.

Mistake? pfft, planned all along I say

  14. I absolutely love this and will give your tutorial a try soon! I'm {orange} crushing on string pieced anything right now. Orange is my favorite quilting fabric color – it is a lot more versatile than most people think. It's funny because it exists nowhere in my home decor or in my clothing, but I can't get enough of it in my quilts. Strange, huh?

Love it! I never really liked orange before the modern quilt movement. Now I love it! Sometimes fate pushes our creativity with those little opportunities. I love the back!

  16. Love orange! Your pillow is awesome and your daughter must have inherited her dad's good taste!! 🙂 Gotta love those design opportunity moments…. I find cursing and a glass or two of wine will smooth those little wrinkles right out!! 😉

  17. What a great mix of oranges! I have been drawn to the orange polka dot fabric you have included, but haven't been brave enough to try using it yet 🙂

  18. Renee says:

This is just so vibrant!! What an eye catcher! You did a gorgeous job, and I'm not even an orange-y person! Love the purple on the back, what a great addition. If you think curse words are fun, I *think* you may like the quilt I posted today.

  19. #1 I'm googling that orange fabric, it's super cool. #2 the purple is just perfect. I'm so glad that mistake happened. I wish all my mistakes turned out that good.

Your daughter must love this. Has she picked out a fourth? Before you know it, you will have a whole rainbow. I will use your tutorial someday… I don't have the patience for the regular method.
