TGIFF – #MSBHQAL – The Winners
Oh, you know what day it is! Yes, it is time to announce the winners of the #MSBHQAL from all of these amazing entries! Our glorious judge, Lee from Freshly Pieced was quick smart on that Ace of Base pause button and had her faves picked out on Wednesday. It was all I could do from blabbing it out all over the Internets. So let’s not delay one more glitter-sized second! Our two winners are: Shena at Apple Pie Patchwork and Brad’s Best!
How wonderful are these two quilts?! I need everyone to throw some confetti in the air for Shena and Brad! I will send you both emails about collecting your prizes! One of you is gonna get a $50 gift certificate to Intrepid Thread and the other this rainbow collection of Aurifil thread. My favourite fabric shop, and my favourite thread? Am I jealous? Damn, straight! (No offence to my hetero heroes!)
But wait! We have two more random winners to select. Let me see here… Mr. Randy G says:
Which means Shena at Apple Pie Patchwork wins again. Okay, sorry Shena, that ain’t happening! LOL! Let’s try this again:
Oh hey, Suzanne Webb! (Her rainbow version is here!) You’re going home with the following Aurifil thread pack! I’ll be in touch! I think that rainbow centre blocks is a brilliant idea. Way to make it work!
And finally, Mr. Randy G also likes:
Congratulations Libby at No Airplane Here! Super happy your co-worker liked your #MSBHQAL quilt! Be careful, your other co-workers will want one, too. Look out for an email from me!
So that brings us to an end, y’all! Can you even believe it? Can you? Me, either! It’s been eleven weeks, and I don’t even know where they went. I promised you I would have you done before Thanksgiving, and here we are with two weeks to spare so you can get your potato mash on. (Try sweet potatoes, for a healthier, tasty option!)
I want to say a gigantic thank you to everyone who participated, big and small, because it would have been pretty lonely me quilting-along by myself. I guess that’s really just quilting, and no along-ing–so kisses and sparkles to all of you! Also, confetti cannons for our sponsors, Julie at Intrepid Thread and Aurifil, and judge, Lee at Freshly Pieced. I couldn’t have done it without you.
I have to thank my Sparkle family, Mr. Sparkles and Grandma Sparkles for supporting me on the sidelines, and not killing me after I made my 83rd herringbone block. I also want to thank all of my Rainbow Quilting Bee members for agreeing to make this block for me when I was Queen Bee. If it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t have fallen so in love with it. Finally, I have to thank Anne at Play-Crafts for designing such a killer block, letting me use it for this QAL, and becoming a great friend along the way.
Sparkle tears of joy!
The #MSBHQAL will live on forever!
