LOVE IT!!! Best quilt top I've seen for a long time. It would be safe to say you had the best Halloween ever then 😉 xx

  5. wipgirl says:

Looks fantastic! Those fabrics really do go perfectly together, you'd think they'd been designed that way.

  6. I DIE! (…in the words of Rachel Zoe)

  7. Suz J says:

Every quilt I make becomes my new best favourite… so I never want to give anything away :0) … I can understand why you're starting to feel possessive… it is fabulous. I can't believe how well all those ranges mix together – made in heaven!

  8. Megan says:

Wow, I'm smitten! I have never really loved ombres but now I see they add a real luminosity. And the backing is perfect – serendipity 🙂

Colour is back with a vengeance!
When you ever run out of college friends to make gifts for, I am more than willing to jump in and help out in my new role as "quilt receiver", LOL!

  11. Absolutely love this! Just gorgeous! I do hope you make one for yourself – or at least a mini version! 😉

  12. Charlotte says:

I saw this on Instagram and immediately decided that you were going to send it to me. OK?

  13. Vera says:

Your colorful projects made me realized I have some kind of disorder. I'm not able to appreciate randomly placed colors. What a freak I am, lol.

  14. Sooli says:

I love this so much, perfect fabric combos and quilt design for those fabrics. Not to mention your backing fabric! Definitely a great change from white on white! Got to love a bit of colour and movement!

  15. GREAT use of that ombre. So smart.

  16. Fabulous….loving the colour!!!

  17. Cheryl says:

I love how you used the ombre fabric, so creative and the quilt is beautiful!

  18. It's gorgeous, darling, just gorgeous!

  19. Brilliant! Colors go so well together…ombré at its best here!

  20. I was reading a string of comments on a fabric shop's post about whether or not to order new ombre fabrics, and it seemed like nobody knows what to do with them. (I know I don't.) I hadn't seen anyone do this yet! What a smart use of those fabrics!

These are a lot of look in the best way.

(Thanks to you I had to stop myself yesterday from buying that Carnaby St print. Because I had already bought fabric this week. What a lovely scarf that print would make.)

WHAT? This is SUPER amazing! 🙂 Love!

  22. Jenny says:

    that kicks ass.

  23. Stephanie says:

This is SO beautiful! Love that use of the ombre 🙂

  24. Fabulous! And if you quilt it yourself I will be so proud 😉 I think it would look cool with continuous curves going from point to point inside each triangle. Or stitch in the ditch strategically to pull out the zig-zag/chevron lines that can be formed in every other row.

  25. Julie says:

I am emailing this to Pat… she will love it.

  26. Nilya says:

I looove Oval Elements too and you are so right that you found the perfect pattern for it. Stunning Piece!!!

  27. Lynda says:

was afraid that after working with your white on white project you may loose some of your sparkle – NOT SO! you have outdone yourself – I love ombre's and you have found a perfect way to use them – great job

  28. Pam says:

Absolutely LOVE this quilt back & front!! Look forward to seeing the finish. 🙂

  31. Am L says:

Really gorgeous. I love your use of ombre. I always like the look of ombre fabric, but I'm never certain of what to do with it. I get the wanting a version of a quilt for yourself. I made my mother a quilt that was really difficult to actually give to her. It was too late to get enough of all the fabrics for myself by the time if was finished. That is one of the things I love about creating quilts, that you pour so much of yourself into your creations, then share that with someone you care about.

  32. CitricSugar says:

Ooooooh!! Molli, you clever vixen! That is a great use of the ombre. Swoon!

  33. Jenny L says:

I LOVE this quilt! The pattern, the colors and fabrics, and the way you've chosen to lay it out. Beautiful! I would want one for myself too if I had made that one and then planned to give it away!

  34. Allison says:

    oh, I've got shivers!
I recently finished a top for charity, but I've fallen in love with it and don't want to part with it. would keeping it be the same as stealing from sick children in the hospital? Hmmm, what to do, what to do?

  35. Jane S. says:

Stop it! Stop it right now! You're making the rest of us look so bad, you with your creativity and fantastic eye for color.

    Love. That. Quilt. 🙂

  36. Seriously? SERIOUSLY?! You're producing hit after hit after hit!

  37. Rachel says:

Now this is a splash of color. Looks great.

  38. Swoon. This is fabulous! LOVE it!

  39. Lee says:

I love ombre but I'm never quite sure how to use it! THIS is how to use it! Love it!

  40. Sheryl says:

The ombre effect in the flying geese is brilliant. Ombre is something I so adore in clothes, but had never been able to wrap my head too well around how I could use the solid in a quilt.

  41. Lauren Deel says:

Oh, I LOVE this quilt!! And yes, I fall in love with quilts that I make for other people, too; oh! the conundrum – to keep or not to keep? If they're not expecting it, will they miss it??? I vote for you to keep it! But that's just me – I'd have SUCH a hard time giving away this little lovely.

  42. Absolutely fabulous. LOVE the ombre.

  43. I love the way you put the colors together – so interesting!

  44. The combination you've put together here works really well, it's positively sparklin'.

  45. Adrianne says:

Ooooh Molli, you have outdone yourself here!
