Sunday Stash #44 – Magic Suitcase V2.0 Part 03 – A Dramatic Pause
Do you have that one friend that always shows up late to the party? You’ve already arranged to be there fashionably late, but she’s no where to be found? You grab yourself your third Bacardi Breezer (this isn’t a champagne sort of place) and think to yourself, “I can totally live without her. I’ll just make my own fun. If she’s gonna be late it’s her loss.” Meanwhile, you know all too well that you’ll stand in the corner trying to make eyes with that hot piece of ass that said hello to you at the bar. Sigh.
You tap your fabulous Louboutin heel, scanning the room for others that might take her place. It’s wackier than a Katy Perry Friday night in here, but that Bacardi Breezer buzz is setting in, and you’re ready to get your mismatch on. Then the crowd parts, and there she is: wearing a monochromatic dress with pops of citrus colour that draw everyone’s gaze. She is divine, and she wants you to know it. And in that second, with that kind of entrance, she is forgiven. From the corner of the room you realise, it was less being late, and more like a dramatic pause, a Comma, if you will.
You don't by any chance write for a living do you? You are very funny and that comma metaphor was just too perfect!
Bacardi Breezer … ah the memories .. or lack there-of.
Divine as always! You and the fabric.
Aghhhhh. Ear worm. That brings back memories of bubblegum jeans, leg warmers and layered pastel tank tops. Oh, and Miami wine cooler.
Comma: early, late, always. Now. Can't wait to see what you design to show these off! All of the black and whites from this line are my favorites.
Sew pretty. Love the green and gold especially. Love the musical reference. Nothing like a song to help you time travel right back to the 80's and early MTV days when they still played music videos.
Yum. Love Comma.
I love Comma. It's one of my favorite collections…and you're intro for it was just divine. Well done, Ms. Molli!
I love Comma, especially the grey and monochrome. What are you going to make?
I can't wait to see what you come up with for these beauties. Comma just might be my favourite line.
Great intro to truly great fabrics.
Bwahaha, love the intro. Could have lived without the song stuck in my head at the end though lol
Fan fiction for quilters.
You definitely have some writing skills. The imagination runs wild and then I have no idea what to say in the comment section, lol.
Ah, Molli on a Monday morn…..you always take me to a different place…
Come see my COMMA kwilt. http://kwiltypleasures.blogspot.com/2013/07/loaded.html
PERIOD!!! I LOVE COMMA!!!!!!!!
Hahahaha 'comma chameleon' indeed! Ahh Boy George, who knew he was singing about fabric after all!
Love this post… a short story with attitude and ambiance, GORGEOUS FABRICS eye candy , humor….
You are a natural born director!
