  1. They are all gorgeous fabrics, well…except for THAT one. Enjoy your time with Grandma Sparkles, she sounds like a great lady!

I'm heading across the ditch tomorrow, but luckily to Melbourne not Sydney or who knows what could have happened to that suitcase when it was unguarded 😉

  3. Katy Cameron says:

I think you have so much fabric now that exposure shouldn't be a problem for a very long time ;o)

Your GS is a force to be reckoned with, I'm not sure Uluru is ready for her! Pretty sure you'll be coming back with some Aboriginal dot painting style fabric. (I would definitely donate that errant bit of fabric to a charity project somewhere. You just know some little old dear out there will think it is wonderful and make cushions or placemats out of it).

You've got the next years worth of Sunday Stash sorted just with one suitcase! I met a lady the other day who'd been on holiday to Australia and brought back 72 FQ's from the FQ Fridays! I can't tell you who she is because she's kept it secret from her husband (I don't think he made the trip with her).

What about taking that fabric and maybe use it as backing for a dog bed, put it somewhere no one will ever see, not even the pooch. Heck turn it inside out so even if someone picks up the dog bed they only get a tiny impression of it and you know dogs they eat their beds (especially the soft expensive ones) so it will soon be gone!

  7. So many great fabrics there – I'm almost dizzy! Love the white on whites … white with a white polka dot is my go-to-fav background fabric.

  8. Leigh Anne says:

OH my! Your Grandma does have great eyes LOL. And those white on whites got big smiles. I think I am very excited about that quilt because I have two children and can never have it LOL.

  9. Wow – 52 yards!!! I love the orange and magenta and I am a fan of comma and the oh deer pieces. Great stash pieces.

  10. Comma, Salt Air, Oh Deer! Oh My!!
I can't believe how expensive this yardage is for you ~ thank goodness GS and her suitcase have come to help out! I can't wait to see what else she brought you!

  11. Paula says:

Wow. Just wow. Those whites are fab. Looking forward to seeing the progress of the Quilt That Never Was and finding out how much it truly cost when done. I love the Sanae Chrysalis fabric and Grandma Sparkles must be delighted with her own purchases. As for the first peeks into the MS, fab-u-lous.

How can tomorrow be any more epic??? This stuff is the stuff dreams are made of. Great job with the shopping too. GS knows her stuff. Glad she pushed you out the door!

  13. Vera says:

Yay for fabrics and Yay for Uluru 🙂 Enjoy!

  14. Jane S. says:

Grandma Sparkles is a fabric enabler! Bless her. 🙂

Ick fabric?? Those leaves are gorgeous! How much do you have and what would it cost me to take it off your hands? E me if you're interested in having it gone.

  15. Glad to see you and your gramma are having a wonderful time, Molli. That Vintage Modern just caused me to start a new board on Pinterest. I'm kinda Vintage Modern myself! As always, your stash posts – Fabulous!

Looks like an amazing collection of fabrics – can't wait to see what else comes out of the suitcase!

Beautiful fabrics! I love your blog, glad I stumbled onto it! Do you ever use hotfix crystals on your quilts? If you do, there is a great site; http://www.crystal-delight.com. They sell Swarovski Crytals and great prices!
