LOVE! Brilliant colors and I adore the notches in the binding. Smart move on the grass stain protection! Grass stains are no joke (an experience I wish I didn't have lol!).

  2. Paula says:

Wow, just wow. I love it all. The notches in the binding were the first thing I noticed, and thought how perfect. Love the green backing, I'm going to have to steal that idea for my next garden/picnic quilt. And I love the label. Fabulous job. Now get thee to that Sparkle Ball and enjoy!

  3. Kelly says:

LOVE!!!! – think the CAPS say it all 😉

  4. Vera says:

It's cool. OK, I love the notches but I'm looking forward to see No.2 (hoping there will be no random placement, lol).

  5. Julie says:

Molli – awesome!! Love the way this turned out 🙂

  6. Trudie says:

Quite marvelous! I would only imagine that the next installment will be equally as marvelous.

  7. Anne says:

SO awesome! You know I love it! And those notches and the label on the back are so flippin' fabulous!!

  8. I like the idea of the little spot on the back at the bottom to write something. I usually sign my quilts but sometimes it's hard to see. This is a simple fix for that!

Do you sign your quilts? They're going to wonder who we are when they're hanging in a museum after all.

Looks Fab (as your work always does). LOVE the notches in the binding and the label on the back. I finished something this week, if I can get a pic or 7 I will link it up!

  10. Jane S. says:

SO cool! I just love everything about it. 🙂

  11. JB says:

Gorgeous! It's so vivid, I love it. Wish I was anywhere near a finish and could link up!

  12. Because you asked so nicely, I got my shizzle together and blogged for the first time in over a month.

Love the broken rainbow. I'd pinned the tutorial for this ages ago but seeing your pretties makes me want to drop everything I need to finish and start working on one yesterday.

  13. MsMidge says:

LOVE LOVE LOVE! You may even convince me to make more of those damn blocks!

  14. Sooli says:

Such a bright and happy quilt – but then its a rainbow and if a rainbow doesn't scream bright and happy its not doing its job! Nice one. (Don't lose your glass slipper at the ball Sparklerella!)

  15. Yay!!! Hooraayyy!!! it's finished for TGIFF today!!! (You're not the only poet around here 😉
Does 'finished migrating my blog' count as a finish??? over at quokkaquilts.com – yes the design is crap still, any themes advice from the Master?!

  16. How many ways can I say awesome?! Happy, happy, sunshine, lollipops, and rainbows.

  17. Makes me feel like I am walking on sunshine….very beautiful and happy and so, so cool, just like you Ms Sparkle! xx

  18. I literally just learned about this block today – how crazy to see it all beautifully done up in a rainbow finish here! Gorgeous dahling, simply gorgeous!

  19. Kelly Young says:

What a fantastic quilt! I love the random color placement, but the patterned direction. That broken herringbone pattern rocks!

    Smokin Hot, Molls.

  21. I love the way it turned out! I love how you turned some of the blocks the opposite direction.

  22. LOVE the notches on the border and what a great idea to use part of a block for the signature block on the back. You're kinda brilliant!

  23. Bravo on a beautiful finish yourself! Thanks for hosting the Friday finish! Love the notches on your binding, Molli. And although your sweet binding does look divine, I hope you have not given up on mastering a machine sewn binding. I know you can do it!

FABULOUS quilt. I love it! It's better than Cats. I want to see it again and again.

  37. Books_Bound says:

I love the idea of the blank strips on the quilt label! I'm almost always late on my gift quilts, but that is a wonderful idea for baby quilts (and being 28, I see many, many, many of those in my near future.) Genius! And the quilt is gorgeous too.

  38. Elise Lea says:

Love those blocks and the arrangement! You are making me want to try making one of these quilts!

  39. RobinSue says:

Fabulous – love the bright colors, reminds me of a new box of neon markers!

  40. You could make those binding notches your signature! Instead of adding a quilt label. I love tiny details like that!

  41. Kirsten says:

Such a beautiful quilt – really love the colourful blocks!

  42. Katy Cameron says:

Well finished, and I'm totally embracing slightly alternative binding these days. And it's nothing to do with ever running out of fabric for the binding. Not at all. Ever.

  43. Janarama says:

OMG, I LOVE your herringbone quilt! Such fun, bright colors … my kind of quilt. Just beautiful.
