Sunday Stash #31 – Hookers and Notting Hill
Anyhoo, Midge rang me up a few weeks back, and was like, “Hey girl, Intrepid Thread is having a fabric sale so cheap, the hookers are gettin’ jealous.” Not one to be intimidated by hookers, (’cause you know I can rock thigh-high boots better than any of them) I said to Midge, “Okay, let’s do it, let’s fill a box.” Which, now I see, was so double entendre, saucy me didn’t even get it. But we went to work.
My portion of that shared box were these missing pieces for my ever growing Notting Hill collection. I keep staring at them all wondering, what will I ever make with you. I feel like there’s something with triangles just trying to pop out. It’ll come eventually. For now, the coordinating colours and patterns are all just playing with each other, and they make me happier than any other fabric I’ve seen recently. Joel Dewberry, be still my heart.
Speaking of fabric designers, David Butler decided he wanted to be in another meme.
Linking up with Fiona at Finding Fifth for this week’s Sunday Stash-a-thon!
You should do the same.
Hookers and Notting Hill? You’d think we were in a Julia Roberts movie.
Seriously, that picture is just awesome Hey Girl material! I keep coming up with ideas too! *slaps hand* Naughty Alyce…
Molli, I have to say I love your posts. I always smile and chuckle to myself. I'm sure my husband wonders how quilting and fabric are so funny. That is some gorgeous fabric. Also, I just want to say how much I love Mr. Sparkles Says. Keep adding to that. It's hilarious.
Love the stash additions! You crack me up and for that I'm grateful 🙂 Have a great week!
Great stash, gorgeous guy, goofy hookers, glittery post! Now where did I put that "Cinder-f-n-rella" movie!!!
Hahaha I couldn't stop laughing for this entire post. Most interesting stash post I've read in a while (if not ever lol).
Sunday stash posts don't get better than this!
So glad you were able to reunite more of the Notting Hill :oD
That David, he just can't stay away – too much Molli is not enough for him! (I love Notting Hill too – maybe we need a support group?)
Are you stuck for a pattern idea for Notting Hill? I am sure you can design your own Molli. I do have some stunning quilts posted on my Pinterest board if you want to go browsing for ideas.
Notting hill – Joel Dewberry is one of my most favorite lines. I used it on my first quilt top (which is not finished yet)…and love it. Always contemplating getting more.
Oh my stars, you must be the only quilt blogger that I regularly laugh out loud when I read. <3 <3 SO HARD
