Great post. Lovely fabrics and I wouldn't mind to be groupie for Mr. Butler either, lol.

  2. Liz says:

For once, the fabric wasn't the highlight. And that's not because it's not nice fabric. A hot, male fabric designer? So right on so many levels.

  3. Leo says:

Ohh my that fabric is almost worth to pay for international shipping or the horrendous price they ask here for American fabric … ahh the muted colours, the geometric designs … now I'm sort of unhappily glad it's not end of the month yet so I'm not allowed to do any "unecessary" shopping. Ahh well doesn't mean I can't dream about what I could do with those prints …

  4. Paula says:

The talented Mr Butler does it again.

  5. giddy99 says:

OMG, I check the yardage price, too, when buying FQs! 🙂 It's a lesson I've learned the expen$ive way. 🙂

  6. Mara says:

Wow, is that really a picture of him and he likes fabric? Your fabric stash is looking delicious too!

  7. Katy Cameron says:

I've always thought those mirror ball dots were totally you!

  8. Jane S. says:

Oh he's definitely a hunka-hunka-burnin'-love. And he designs great fabrics too! I ordered myself some charm packs when I saw that fabric line, had to have a little bit of everything without shelling out for yardage. 🙂

  9. I am definitely in backlog blues but I am hoping to get sewing done at the beach in a couple of weeks. I love the fabrics – I agree it is refreshing not to see flowers 🙂

  10. Elise Lea says:

Love David Butler's fabrics! Congrats on the new addition to your stash!

  11. I like this Sunday Stash idea. I'm expecting around 20m in my mailbox this upcoming fortnight (I was so very very weak). As for the backlog blues…I cut out a Swoon quilt for my almost youngest sister in January 2012. That was a LONG time ago. 😐

  12. Kirsten says:

Love the logo design – very fresh! And the fabrics are really wonderful too!

  13. I've tried sooo hard to get DH to assist in measuring, cutting, pinning but for some weird reason known only to himself he absolutely won't
Maybe it's because I won't work on the car with him! Imagine the luxury of having a partner who quilts too? Heaven. Talking of which Mr Butler fits the bill! Those backlog blues are here to stay. I try not to think too much about it. :). Love those fabrics too. x

  14. Anne says:

I love his new line!! I may be featuring them heavily in a quilt for my dad for Christmas. 🙂
I hope you aren't totally sick of herringbone blocks by the time you're done!!

  15. Sooli says:

Sorry did you say something about fabric? I got a bit distracted by the unexpected eye candy. Oh and its not the birds in your head you need to worry about, its what they leave behind – keep a broom handy!

  16. anne says:

OMG OMG Mr Butler is the new Ryan……..Hey Sparkles do you want to come and make fabric with me:)

The Logo rocks……and you restrained yourself with only one fat quarter.

Enjoy your week and remember to Sparkle Sparkle Sparkle.

  17. CitricSugar says:

Ah, David Butler… everyone's quilt boyfriend… He's swoony. And designs such beautiful fabrics….

  18. Too funny! It's funny how fabric just seems to find its way to you. May you continue to be a fabric magnet so you can entertain us with your Sunday Stash posts 😉

  19. So cool! Julie is so Sweet! I met her in Milpitas a few weeks ago on a short trip to The Bay Area! The shop is cute, and she has an awesome fabric collection! Awesome bundle you got there!

  20. Some great new prints there! I love that soft blue in the middle of the top pic. Looking forward to seeing what you do with these 🙂

  21. I think that DB fabric needs to be a camera bag… Or a manbag… I'm seeing a satchel or messenger bag with a nice rough heavy woven solid picking up some of those prints…
