Rainbow Bee – January
Lo and behold my petals, it is 2013! I hope each and everyone of you had a mahvelous festive season, and are now putting metal to the pedals of your Janomes, Singers, and Pfaffs! Lord knows this sequinned seamstress is, much to the frustration of Mr. Sparkles! If you’re anything like me, sewing can be a bit like breathing, and when you aren’t doing it, it feels like drowning.
So with that in mind, I present to you my first project for 2013, January’s Rainbow Bee Block for Ms. Emily! She requested we all make Carpenter’s Wheel Stars in a different colour way, and mine being teal, this is what I came up with. I wanted (with her approval) to go completely scrappy, so you’ll spy some Denyse Schmidt, Bonnie & Camille, and Aneela Hoey amongst many others! If you’re interested in creating your own, here is a link to the tutorial we used. However, keep in mind, the tutorial utilises only three fabrics, so feel free to go a bit wild on the town like moi!
LOVE!
