This week’s stash additions are mightily justified! My LQS was having a 25% off sale, so I went on Fat Quarter Friday (buy one get one free) to make use of both promotions! I found the LONE bolt of Kona fabric in the whole store — they didn’t even know why they had it, as they don’t carry it! I don’t know what it’s official colour is, but it reminds me of peacock blue. Now I can feel the difference from typical homespun, it all makes sense, and the world is right again! There was just over a meter left on the bolt, so I bought it all. (Any suggestions on its colour, comment it out!)
The Fat Quarter bin had some new additions, and I was quick to snap up a few FQs from Aneela Hooey’s Little Apples line. Aren’t the snail and turtle the cutest? I quickly turned this photo into my desktop background. Feel free to do the same! I got four fat quarters for $12, so I consider that about 50% off from the $23.95/m retail price. Molli loves a sale!
Now normally I’d be having a Converse Confession, but for several reasons (the kids visiting, photo studio packed away, and crafty shenanigans) it is on hiatus this week. I know, after two weeks, that bitch is lay-zay. Preach. Mmm.
However, if you look closely behind that mah-velous fabric, you’ll see evidence of those crafty shenanigans! Fabric covered canvases made with the daughter for her room. She chose the fabric, and then we both used an electric staple gun for the first time (I didn’t tell her that, though!) We both escaped unscathed! Hmm, maybe that should have been a TGIFF!?
Linking up with Fiona at Finding Fifth
and her Sunday Stash-a-thon! You should do the same.
Go on, step away from the glue gun, and get to linkin’.
